Expedia survey: American tourists not no. 1

You're loud. You talk too much. You complain about everything. You don't clean up after yourself. Plus you dress like a slob. Who are you? Well, according to an Expedia survey of some 4,000 hoteliers across the globe, you're an American tourist. Congratulations.

The survey, seeking to find the top tourists based on best and worst travel habits, included categories on behavior, manners, popularity, fashion sense, willingness to learn the language, etc. In the view of some foreign hoteliers, who are obviously bracing themselves for the influx of Americanos during summer vacation season, it seems we're falling a little short of the ideal guest. The best tourists: the Japanese, followed by Germans and Brits.

Americans came in at No. 11. Like we care. If you don't like our screeching or our couture jeans, you can kiss it. We can always vacation right here in the good ole US of A.

I'd like to see a list of the hotels that think we're a problem. It might help me plan my vacation. I don't want to go where I'm considered a pest.
