SpaFinder has sunscreen reminder for your wrist

You know how you're supposed to tie a string around your finger to remember something? Well, Spafinder has extended that approach to your wrist with a new bracelet that's supposed to remind wearers to protect skin from the sun.

The "I Will Reflect" bracelet is a clear, white color, but when exposed to the sun's harmful UV rays, it turns lavender or purple. The wristbands cost $4.94 each online, with proceeds going to melanoma research. I tried it over the past few days and it does work.

Also, since we're smack in the middle of a heatwave, I thought this was a good time for some sun safety tips.  Johns Hopkins dermatologists offer this list of preventives.
