10 For The Road: Patriotic attractions

Today, I'm launching what I hope will become a weekly feature listing Top 10 destinations. Some weeks I'll need your suggestions for topics and other weeks I'll just plop the list in this space.

With July 4th just around the corner, it seems a good time to look at the Top 10 Patriotic Attractions. This week's list comes from TripAdvisor.com.

1. Statue of Liberty, New York City

2. Freedom Trail, Boston

3. Independence National Historic Park, Philadelphia

4. National Archives Building, Washington

5. Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington

6. Lincoln Memorial, Washington

7. U.S. Service Academies, various locations (including Annapolis)
