Free night in Atlantic City hotel

You and 959 of your Baltimore neighbors can get a free night's stay at Harrah's Resorts new Waterfront Tower hotel in Atlantic City. There's no catch except you do have to catch one of the 960 room keys -- that's every room in the hotel -- being given away free on the northeast corner of Pratt and Light streets from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on May 28.

Yes, this is a big publicity stunt. But who cares? It's a free night (value: $149) in a brand new 44-story luxury hotel with a heated pool enclosed in a 90-foot glass dome. Harrah's pulled the same stunt in New York City earlier this month. And they're doing it in Philadelphia today and Washington later this week.

The keys are good for a one-night stay on Thursday, June 19, only, which is being designated "Harrah's Loves Baltimore" night. So that means every guest in the hotel that night will be from the Baltimore area. Scary, huh? Even scarier, the people handing out the keys will be dressed in body paint with the Harrah's logo.

Uh, the logo's not that big, so I hope they have pants.
