Great episode. Nothing against you, but your episodes are so much better when Axl is on. He's pure greatness.
RESPONSE FROM KE; I agree with you.

I polled several (3) female wrestling fans, yes female wrestling fans do exist, and they say overwhelmingly (2-1) that Rated Eck is better looking than Kevin Eck.

I know a ball that wasn't dropped as far as all of this goes---and that is this analysis. Excellent job, and kudos to both you and Axl. I know as commenters and cycnical hardcore fans, there is this expectation that we must find at least one thing to disagree with or look like we're kissing ass, but I really just enjoyed this analysis, thought it covered every base, and was impressed that is was very thoughtful and in-depth. To me, this is the final word on the Punk situation and even on Cena, until we have enough time under all of our belts to make further judgments.

That was great. Axl is awesome per usual. But I agree with you - let's wait to see what happens with Punk before saying the WWE dropped the ball. Tonight's Raw should give us a better frame o reference. Actually, I think where they dropped the ball was in putting HHH as McMahon's replacement. He doesn't seem to get that Vince was great at putting over talent. Playing his too cool for school routine buries talent.

Wow. I was just about to comment last time (I'm old. I forgot. Sue me) that maybe your opening could be updated. But I wasn't talking (not talking?) about replacing it with - nothing? I DO like your theme music, generic to it may be.
What? There was a show after the opening?

Baltimore Magazine dropped the ball. No way does Sessa deserve "Best Web Video" over Ring Posts XTra.

I enjoyed this analysis by you and Axl. My only problem is that Axl seemed to parrot the IWC suggestion that C.M. Punk go to Ring of Honor and defend the title. That would be fine and dandy if Cornette hadn't said that he wants to see McMahon broken and lying in the gutter. Also, I don't think WWE has dropped the ball with this storyline, yet.

Kevin, let me say that I really enjoy this blog. It's become a daily addiction for me, and I love the outstanding job you do with this. However, with that being said I understand why you defend John Cena. Saying negative things about him would not help you much at all. This is your job and you need access to the top star in WWE and it would be bad for business if you were overly critical of him, so I understand your position.
However, I don't need access to John Cena, so I will feel free to be as critical of him as I choose to be. I disagree with Axl. If John Cena were really doing his job as a babyface, then fans would not be booing him. A babyface's job is to be cheered and to give the heel an antagonist to get them over and draw more money through the fued. If John Cena were really doing his job, then he wouldn't be getting booed louder than the heel does.
WWE is letting Cena's merchandise selling ability cloud their judgement as to how they book Cena, and it results in other susperstars not getting over the way they should. I have never been one who has doubted Cena's ability as a worker, and he seems good in that area to me. But let's face it, John Cena doesn't drive up television ratings, he doesn't have much of an impact on PPV buy rates. The only thing he's really good for is pushing merchandise, and his position as the "WWE Merchandise Champion" is what keeps him where he is, and cripples the rest of the WWE. CM Punk is the only one who has had the ability to rise above this, and yet he nearly had to leave the WWE just to force their hand on this issue. But we'll see how long that lasts.

As Punk told B Simmons, he wanted to stay out longer but with the 2nd biggest ppv of the year coming up the bookers really had no choice but to bring him back quickly.

So right with his assessment of shotgunning the angle. I'm still interested in the story but they turned a novel into a newspaper article.

You are right about "dropping the ball". Why bring Laurinaitis out at the end of Raw Monday Night? That was completely unneccessary...I think they cut his part short due to time. The dueling "music" showdown? Dumb. If they were smart, they would take the "Stone Cold vs McMahon" idea and reinvent it using HHH and CM Punk. Those 2 could really amp things up. The audience seems to love the rebellious nature of CM Punk and really want to see HHH and him go at it...so why not? I think it would make great TV

Great episode, enjoyed it a lot. Nice to see Axl back.
Kinda glad you dropped the intro - the music was so much louder than the rest of the video I always had to turn down the volume right away, then turn it way back up afterwards.
