Video: CM Punk's promo from Raw
In case anyone missed it -- or just wants to watch it again -- here is a YouTube video of the CM Punk promo from Raw Monday night that has the wrestling world buzzing.
Warning: There is a slight bit of profanity, although it's nothing that you can't hear on daytime TV.

What was Punk screaming into the camera in between the mic being cut off and the screen cutting to black?

Right up there with the Miz's promo from a while back, no, it's better.

He said the worst possible word you can say on WWE programming--WRESTLING.

I keep watching this, and it keeps being awesome.
Punk just sold MITB to me & my friends...

This could be nominated for an Emmy. It's an absolutely amazing performance, so angry yet so convincing.

@ Jules B
Other than a couple of VERY inexpensive DVD's, I think I've purchased one PPV this century, but I'm very tempted this time

So when is Punk going to show up on TNA??

What an awesome mic job - good luck to CM Punk

Since 2002, I have only purchased ONE pay per view (TNA'S bound for glory 2009). I refuse to buy the toys and the shirts for WWE because its gone way down hill. They have some good stars and they dont push them at all or start something and its over. I am sick of Cena, Triple H, and Randy Orton ALWAYS winning titles. I am tired of the kid friendly wrestling. And most of all, if WWE does not even attempt to resign Punk, not only will they drop the ball on a great program with Punk but they will let go an awesome wrestler.
Who would have thought that wrestling would be a dirty word in a wrestling company?

This promo was great live, and still great on YouTube. Punk is an awesome performer, although I don't buy the whole walking out of the ring bit while facing Kane. WWE is losing a great "wrestler", and an incredible mic man.

OK, I'm in. When is the PPV?

EPIC PROMO!!! I was happy that R-Truth got the win over Cena AND then this happened. I laughed because I saw Punk working out at Golds Gym here locally in College Station TX and I was one of the people asking for a pic/autograph. I didn't have my new nexus shirt so he (very nicely) signed a generic WWE t-shirt. Truly a class act and I hope he resigns

Miz?...lol...miz cannot be even compared to the dust of CM PUNK'S feet...
CM PUNK is on a totally different level...he can make even john cena look like a kindergarten kid during a verbal battle...
This performance should definitely win an OSCAR!!!!!
NO CUTS! NO RETAKES! DELIVERED WITH PERFECTION TO A LIVE CROWD OF 15000 PEOPLE.AND MILLIONS AT HOME.
CM PUNK HAS THE BEST MIC SKILLS EVER!

@KEVIN
do you think CM PUNK is the best ever when it comes to mic skills?
I mean there have been all so called greats like Shawn Michaels,Triple H etc,Even present people like John cena,Randy Orton etc are not on the level of punk..
The only person who i felt was better and engaging was stone cold steve austin.Even rock was no match for him and i guess we all can see from the recent guest appearances made by both rock and austin.Austin was so much better and the crowd was down with austin.Austin guest hosting the Raw was much much better than Rock's forgetable hosting of WM27.

@Kevin
i know cm punk and stone cold has something going on twitter. But why exactly did punk wore austins tshirt?
RESPONSE FROM KE: I think it was another sign that Punk was doing something on TV that he shouldn't be doing -- a heel wearing a babyface's t-shirt.

This is all real.

CM Punk is going to leave for sure. Before this promo I thought may be one more ppv after MITB. But after this, I'm sure MITB will see his end.
But yes, WWE is using him well before he leaves... such a loss...

Just wanted to share this Stone Cold
Promo. It's worth the time.

I believe it was after he was dropped on his head by Owen.
The promo material is very 'Punk' like and as a fan of the business, I hope CM Punk goes a route similar to this during his 'suspension' during that time. He would obviously be a lot sober than Stone Cold as he doesn't need to scream his promos because of his character.
Any thoughts?

hay kev what the a storyline line that cm punk done or was he serious ,thanks darryl

@ Syed Habib Fawaz
Though their styles of delivery are distinct (cool & calm vs. wild & crazy), Punk and Roddy Piper are about as good as anyone's ever been. Perhaps Savage or Paul Heyman had the same kind of magnetism, but I can't think of anyone else.

Anybody else realize that former WWE wrestler Nunzio is now a referee?

I don't think Punk's promo was "epic" or "ground breaking". It was good, don't get me wrong. I think "shocking" is the best word to describe it. Not because before this Punk was incapable of delivering a great promo...because he has always been above average on the mic, but for the content.
I think if you tear it down, the shocking part of the whole thing is that the WWE broke its own rules. Never mentioning competition and never belittle HHH are big no-no's. The comments about Vince dying have been teased before... Austin with the gun...his limo exploding...ect. The "WWE Universe" knows Vince runs the show, but in storyline HHH is still a competitor. This promo was shocking because it reminded most people of a time when people just spoke from the heart and not from a rehearsed script that has tied the hands of many.
I really hope this was WWE's way of saying "we hear you". Punk's shoot will be the beginning of a new era in where we go back to letting the "superstars" drive the creative direction and not a few guys locked in an office. We know the PG thing has not been what we thought it would. We want to be more real, more inline with what the fans want, more "RAW". Hopefully this will show the fans that "anything can happen on Monday Night RAW".
Yes, in the past they actually used "anything can happen on Monday Night RAW" as a hook to get you to tune in every week to see what "shocking" events would unfold.

Speaking of Heyman, I wonder if his being mentioned so prominently by Punk makes him a possiblity as the "unidentified Raw GM". But there are so many other possibilities - Jericho (remember the URGM driving Edge nuts), Mick Foley, Bret Hart, Michael Cole, Piper?
