Great video. RIP Macho Man. I hope they played "Pomp and Circumstance" when he got to heaven.

In the days before they had mats over the "concrete floor" outside the ring, it's amazing to me Savage never had serious knee or ankle problems from doing all the double axe handle drops from the top rope out onto his opponents.

Also interesting how all the major news outlets said his career began in 1985 when that was actually only when he started with the WWF.

Sad to see yet another of my favorites from around the time I started watching wrestling gone.

Years ago in college, I had a part time job moving huge Super 8 truck tires from a truck maintenance station to a yard where they were disposed of. There were seven of us, all college aged, and we worked outside without much overt supervision. We had contests to see who could actually toss the most tires onto the flatbed we moved them with before one was stupidly exhausted from it and couldn't make a toss.
We had a radio with a tape player, and once I was ahead in the game after a few weeks, I brought in a tape with "Pomp and Circumstance" on it and as we started each day, I would approach the pile with a bandanna and big sunglasses--- one thumb hooked in my belt, the other pointed in the air, pirouetting. Eventually we all adopted a gimmick--but anyway, that was mine...'Nuff said.

I used to watch this guy every weekend hoping he would win. Him, Hulk, and Andre were my favorites. So, to all of my fellow Macho Man fans, I have this question:
Poll: Will you eat a Slim Jim today in honor of Randy Savage?
