Report: Kharma to be off WWE TV for more than nine months

I made mention of this in the Raw recap/analysis that was posted earlier, but in case anyone missed it, here's the news regarding Kharma.

According to wrestlingobserver.com, the bizarre segment on Raw Monday night in which she dropped to her knees in the ring and began sobbing and talking to herself was designed to write her off of TV for the time being.

The report said that Kharma is expected to be out for more than nine months, although no further details were provided.

Let the speculation begin.

well , from what hear , she is pregnant

congrats to her , and props to her partner :)

pretty sure its Mark Henry , but cant rule out Big Dave Batista either !!

either way , now i can go back to not caring about the Divas Division again. !!

Pregnant? Can't see her coming back from this, as she was building momentum. Interesting that she debuted at all if she is indeed pregnant.

Pregnant???

Nine months = pregnancy.

And, if that is the case, one would wonder why she couldn't use birth control or something before the biggest push of her life. Anti-climactic.

I read one report that she's pregnant, which would coincide with the 9 months thing.

PREGO!!!!! Epic fail by Kharma.

Is Bubba the Love Sponge the father?

I can see Maury Povich being a guest on Raw so we can try to figure out who the father is.

Good thing Kong still isn't in TNA. Russo would probably have a "Baby on a pole" match to determine who the father would be.

When someone hands you to the keys to a Corvette, you don't take it and trade it in for a mini-van.

Way to tank the Divas' momentum.

I like a little meat on the bones but come on, who hit that? Must have been a slump buster.

WWE took a big gamble on her knowing her past problems with TNA... They lost. And this is probably why the WWE likes to hire "independent contractors"... If she were an employee, WWE would have to keep paying her and can't release her just because she is pregnant.

"I can see Maury Povich being a guest on Raw so we can try to figure out who the father is."
good one, TNB.

If Ms. Stevens is pregnant, all the best to one of the classiest ladies in the sport.

Whatever kHARMa's problem is, she is generating a lot of speculation. Thats good for the game.

If she is pregnant...

#1. It explains her lack of action so far. She's only come down to the ring to deliver a big blow and hasn't taken a single bump yet.

#2. It would also explain her absence from Over the Limit.

#3. Congrats to her. Most wait until the 3 month mark to announce and if she's gone for the next nine, then she'll have three months post-partum.

But yeah, definitely odd to say the least. It shouldn't be too hard to rebuild her momentum when she comes back.

Terrible way to write her off TV.

Will be future endeavoured by July.

McMahon waits for no-one but Cena, HHH and Orton.

Am i the only one that finds the reaction to this sad? If she's going to be a mother that's far more important than wrestling!

To quote Russ "And, if that is the case, one would wonder why she couldn't use birth control or something before the biggest push of her life. Anti-climactic."

Now i know a few mothers, they say nothing in the world can ever beat holding your own child for the first time... If she wants to be a mother or if its unplanned means nothing, she has decided to keep it (if the rumour is even true) which comes much higher than the WWE's diva's division where most fans are just watching to see how the WWE ruin her character anyway.

If the rumour is indeed true then congrats to Awesome Kong, if your debuting monster is the only reason to watch a division you have much bigger problems than losing the monster for any reason.

A perfomer does have a certain responsibility to tailor circumstances in his or her personal life to fit what performance demands--and this was perhaps not overly responsible on Kong/Kharma's part.
Something does need to be said however about calling a pregnancy an "epic fail" or lauding Vince's preference for independent contractors so that the company has no liability towards someone's associated medical expense when she did in fact work for the company and work for the fans.
S#it happens sometimes--and these sort of comments are indicative of misogyny. When Shawn Michaels takes time off because he "lost his smile", or Jericho needs to take time out for private life and other pursuits--that's fine--but a woman getting pregnant while in her prime child-bearing years is like some sort of fault-bearing disease.
Hate to tell you, but that's where we all come from--and having a little understanding of that fact can actually be beneficial. I've done a fair bit of traveling in my lifetime and can tell you one thing that remains true in most of the world---a little real understanding of these sort of things tends to make one's popularity with the ladies go up---and there are certain...benefits, shall we say, to holding a more enlightened perspective.

She should be immediately fired; irresponsible much? You just signed a contact to perform!

Awesome Kong is truly an amazing talent. A former NWA women's champion, AWA women's champion, and TNA knockout's champion, no wonder Vince wanted to get this talented performer. If she is pregnant, best wishes to her for a healthy pregnancy, and a speedy return. Hopefully, Vince will propel Kharma to the top of the Diva's division when she comes back.

Considering how poorly she sold the "breakdown" maybe she's taking the time off for some much needed acting lessons.

Kharma is supposed to say why she broke down last week tonight on Raw....... They haven't said anything on WWE's website about Kharma being out yet,,, but it's probably true,,,, we'll see
