Mat Madness: And the winner is … The Undertaker
Last Sunday, The Undertaker improved to 19-0 at WrestleMania. And now he is 1-0 in Mat Madness tournaments.
“The Dead Man” defeated Chris Jericho in the finals of Mat Madness, our bracket-style tournament that was determined by online voting. The Undertaker gained 55 percent of the vote.
Despite the loss, it was a good run for Jericho, who handily defeated Sheamus, Edge, John Cena and Kurt Angle to advance to the finals.
Thanks to all who voted throughout the tournament. I had fun doing it and we’ll probably put together something similar next March.

Not a bad result. This was basically a popularity poll so it was interesting to see who went through after each round. Apparently your blog readers place some value on in-ring performance. I would've been happy with any of the final four.

Well, very nice tournament...
There were indeed some very great matches that sprung along the way.
The result went down to Undertaker but about 20 hours (that was the last vote I made) before the poll ended and Jericho was actually leading with 50.9%...
The result turned a bit upside down as you reminded everyone that the tournament was almost over and I guess the were more Deadmen fans who heard the message. Anyways, impressive finale, the closest since the tournament begun as the result changed at last instant...

The tournament made me think: Has there ever been an in-ring meeting between Taker and Y2J? I can't remember one. That would make for a great Wrestlemania match. Taker's match with HBK suggest he could have a fantastic match with Jericho.

Unbelievable. Jericho was leading with about 52% of the ~500 votes before you posted the reminder a day or two ago, and the next day, there were ~800 votes, with 55% going to Undertaker. What the hell?

Can I suggest that you have the final matchup at such a time that the results will be in before WrestleMania next year? The blog post with the final was almost drowned in all the posts regarding WM, so I almost missed out on voting :)
