Video: Chris Jericho on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Episode 2
Wrestling fans know that Chris Jericho can cut a promo. Now they know that he can cut a rug, too.
Jericho displayed some fancy footwork doing the quickstep on Monday night’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” as he and partner Cheryl Burke tied two other couples for the highest score of the evening (23) out of 11 competitors. Jericho and Burke got two eights and a seven from the judges.
Through the first two weeks of the show, Jericho and Burke have a total of 42 points, which places them in a tie for fourth.
On Tuesday night’s results show, Mike Catherwood was the first celebrity eliminated. Yeah, I never heard of him either.
By surviving the first cut, Jericho has already lasted longer on this show than he did on “Celebrity Duets” several years ago.

Brilliant how he uses his promo skills in the little video packages before each dance. And he did brilliantly this week! Looks like he's having loads of fun with it too which is always good.

I find it odd that Jericho is said to be with the WWE during the introductions, but nothing is said about being in a band (Fozzy) or being a NY Times best selling author.
Kev, does Jericho have a contract with WWE?
RESPONSE FROM KE: Jericho is not under contract with WWE, but he obviously is on good terms and there is no doubt he'll be back.

It's been awhile since I've commented but I love reading/keeping up with your blogs. I do have to say, Jericho's a great personality, although I absolutely hated his wrestling persona. I started to watch this season's Dancing with the Stars with mixed feelings - part to see if he'd be egotistical, which I sort of doubted. I really didn't think he'd be that good, but boy was I wrong. He's quite good. While I don't think he'll win this season, I think he'll go further than anyone thought he would. If you read this Chris, good luck - you'll get my call in/text votes every week.
And Kevin, keep up the great blogs - can't wait to get your feel on the Undertaker/Triple H match for Wrestlemania. Personally, I like both of them, and I'd love to see the Undertaker continue the streak, but I think if anyone can break it (plus the fact that he's family, although he's great even if he wasn't), it'll be Triple H. Just my thoughts.

Chris has been pretty amazing on the show. Let's just hope he renews his WWE contract sometime soon though!

Mike Catherwood was the first contestant eliminated, but hardly the first celebrity.

why is he acting like a male skater? His smile and funny actions seem miles apart from the Jericho we've seen in "shoot" interviews.
Or is this just one more layer for Y2J, just wondering if anyone else noticed his "fake" acting ways?

What a bizarre program... never seen it, guess I didn't know what to expect. Well, it seems Jericho is popular with the judges.
It's funny you mention his quick elimination from that Duets show, because in his new book it's clear, no matter how much he jokes, that the event still genuinely angers him!
