TNA reaches out to fans who purchased Victory Road

After putting on a controversial 88-second main event between Sting and Jeff Hardy at TNA’s Victory Road pay-per-view last Sunday, the company is attempting to make it up to people who purchased the event.

TNA announced on its website that it is offering six months of free access to the TNAondemand.com library for anyone who bought Victory Road.

“TNA Wrestling strives to give fans who purchase our pay-per-views as close to a full three-hour event as possible,” the statement reads. “This past Sunday’s ‘TNA Victory Road’ fell short of that standard. Your support of TNA is never taken for granted.”

The cost for Victory Road, which lasted approximately 2 hours, 44 minutes, was $35. Access to TNAondemand.com is $3.95 per month.

I think it’s wise on TNA’s part to make this gesture, although I have to wonder how many of the people who bought Victory Road wouldn’t just rather have their $35 back instead.

Rule #1 of business - never give back money.

I'm assuming this gesture means they're not going to try to pass that off as part of the act. If that's the case, then I give them credit for showing a little bit of integrity.

That so great that they're gonna give the 17 people who purchased the PPV 6 months of free crap that they would have a hard time giving away.

The fans that were duped can take advantage of the offer to watch some good TNA matches. I am and always will be a bigger supporter of WWE, but TNA has had great matches in its history. People can forget about the Hardy vs. Sting debacle (I'm sorry, I meant "Hardy debacle" as it's clear that Sting was not at fault for that cluster) by watching A.J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe for free. Good for TNA (for once).

At least it's something, but I think giving them the next PPV free would be a better move, PR-wise if not financially.

Well that would be cool but then you'd have to watch TNA and nowadays who wants to do that?

Why do people even watch TNA?
It is crap.

looks like the WWE "Universe" is out in full force. Yeah, why WOULD anyone want to watch TNA? TNA doesn't have Hornswoggle. TNA doesn't have The Great Khali. TNA doesn't have Michael Cole and a laptop that magically controls the arena's electricity...

TNA should reach out to Sting and allow him out of his contract so he can head to WrestleMania. Sting most likely turned down a big chunk of cash and a spot in pro wrestling's top company to do business with a joke of a wrestling company. I feel bad for the guys and girls that are busting their butts for that company only for the higher ups make such a poor decision as to allow that type of situation to take place.

to Referee,

your attempt at defending tna and belittling wwe is pathetic. tna has way more crappy moments than wwe. tna lacks professionalism. tna has lost pretty much most of its talented roster members.

do not even try to pretend that tna is a higher quality product than wwe right now. especially considering the fact that the rock is a featured character at the moment.

@ Timmy

Wrestling sucks nowadays...whether WWE or TNA. Both companies are awful, because they both focus on entertainment rather than actual wrestling. Hence the phrase "Sports Entertainment." Until that phrase is abolished from their vocabulary, current wrestling is going to continue to suck, and just be one more slap in the face to all the greats that made wrestling something to care about.
