TNA president Dixie Carter comments on Sting, Kevin Nash and Booker T.

TNA president Dixie Carter asked fans on Facebook and Twitter to submit questions to her earlier this week, and selected questions and her answers have been posted on tnawrestling.com.

When asked about the rumors that Sting has signed with WWE, Carter said: “I have read these reports. I would really hate to see that happen.”

In response to a question about how she felt when she saw Booker T. and Kevin Nash at the Royal Rumble and “realized your original plans for ‘They’ were screwed,” Carter replied: “Booker was not available for any [Main Event Mafia] angle. Kevin Nash was under contract with TNA and was just recently released for reasons I will not disclose. From the beginning, if we did a MEM angle it would not have been with the original group and it would have been a short-term story to get to something else.”

Carter added that she was happy with how the “They” angle turned out and was “pretty sure the fans will be happy.”

Just wanted to comment that TNA had a house show in New Orleans tonight, and although I have not really followed their promotion lately, tonight's show made a fan out of me.

Beer Money and Orlando/Eric Young put on maybe the best tag match I've ever been in the audience for... a great mix of humor and impressive wrestling ability... and although not all the "big names" were there, the event was so fun, good-natured and enjoyable that I smiled ear-to-ear throughout.

Especially in contrast to the cold, slickly impersonal control-freak WWE live environment... (even at a non-televised WWE show, there are dozens of huge security goons glowering directly into the audience the whole time like they're searching for terrorists)... the TNA show was so engaging, so down-to-earth, so genuinely friendly towards the audience and so damn entertaining!

At one point some of the stage lights were in my eyes and I randomly asked a dude in a TNA shirt if there was anything they could do... and they actually adjusted the lighting based on me asking!!! How crazy is that? At WWE, asking that would probably get you kicked out of the arena.

Plus, there was tons of fan access to the wrestlers (even if I didn't take advantage of it). SO... whatever problems TNA might have, they just made a serious new fan out of this New Orleanian wrestling die-hard. They have a lot of great talent, including non-wrestlers like JB and Don West, who all clearly love what they do.

It was a wonderful experience during a tough week; really lifted my spirits!

TNA better get some better story writers or they can just pack up and go home.

Looks like the iwc and the dirtsheets dropped the ball again. How many "sources" were cited about dixie bein shocked that nash and booker were at the rumble. All bogus just like "reports" of sting having signed with wwe. What is with the iwc jus making up stories and running wild with rumor and speculation.

Hi, hope your well, I wanted to say hello and also wanted to ask if you had any big changes this year to hopefully get TNA back on the right track and moving forward to bigger and better things.

I love legends and have been a wrestling fan for 27 years, but for me last year was the worst year TNA has had, storylines, matches, angles, I'm sorry but it was a terrible year.

For a while there a few years back I raved about TNA, I could not get enough, the new young, fresh wrestlers, the different matches, thr 6 sided ring......but now I'm at the point where if it was not for Kurt Angles great matches I would not watch TNA anymore.

The quality has really gone downhill in a big way and for it seems easy to see that what happened to WCW is now happening to TNA.

And sadly if it keeps going in this direction no matter what passion you have for the business and the company nothing is going to save it.

Take care Adam.

As a loyal, devoted, and dedicated Jeff Hardy and Immortal fan what "they" did last nite was a disgrace to all Immortal fans. Not only did they strip Jeff Hardy of his title that was created just for him, but they took out Abyss a couple eeks ago as well. This TNA fan is definitely not happy with the they aspect.

Nah, we're not that happy.

I could be wrong but I think her answer about Sting says it all if you're hoping he comes to the WWE. Again if the 2-21-11 is anythign but Sting Vince got the Buzz but the payoff would be a Buzz kill.

I'm eager to see what your take on the "They" angle was. I thought it was pretty lame, but people seemed to mark out for AJ Styles going face again.

They turned out to be Fortune AJ Styles , Beer Money and Kaz i guess when Ric Flair hired Kurt Angle it was a code .

Again this all boils down to Vince russo's booking and the insane fact that people who sit in on creative (Dixie, Hogan, Bischoff, ect) seem to be ok with these double heel/face turns once ever month, its at the point where the casual wrestling fan can not turn on TNA's product and know who to root for. WWE as stale as it gets some times never leaves us wondering who is the face and who is the heel. And as much as I want to see Cena turn Heel, WWE knows from watching WCW turn Hogan in 1996 that longer Cena is established as the top face, bigger the heel turn would be.

Jules, you obviously don't actually know anything about the WWE staff and how they interact with fans at shows. I was at Wrestlemania in Orlando, and the lighting structure blocked a bunch of seats. not only did they move us without any problems, but they moved us ringside, across from the cameras, 10th row. WWE takes care of their fans.

To Lazarus, how does this post disclaim anything the iwc has stated? She says she hopes Sting does nto sign with WWE. Sounds to me like he isn't under contract with her. Beside it makes more sense for him to be in WWE now, since they are a more PG promotion than TNA now, and the reason he never went to WWE in the first place was because of how non-PG they used to be.

As for Nash and Booker, do you really expect her to come out and say how shocked she was? Of course not, she will spin it anyway she can, I mean, she does have Russo writing for her. Seems like you are just bitter towards the iwc for some reason, and because of that, you read into everything what you want to read.

After reading Dixie's comments I can only
come to one conclusion. She obviously
has brown eyes.

I personally think that the best thing TNA could do is get rid of Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan. Next sign more REAL X-Division wrestlers (Sorry Robbie E you don't qualify) and move back to the six sided ring. We need more angles that don't involve Jeff Hardy or Fortune and they need more matches then talk segments

What was anyone expecting from Dixie? Quite frankly it would have been a horrific mistake and creative decision if "They" really had been/included Booker, Nash and Sting. TNA got everything they wanted or needed from those guys. Time to move on. I actually much prefer what ended up happening. It never made sense for Fortune to be the muscle/lackey guys for Immortal. So for me its like correcting a creative mistake to begin with.

I agree with others though. It may turn out to be another 'Taker return. But if it isn't Sting, they will have YET AGAIN pissed off and all over their hardcore and adult fans. You eventually have to give the people what they want without jerking their chain. Vince has always been pretty good at that, and if he ever is going to get Sting in @ WWE ring, it's now or never.

The angle felt like it was thrown together like a last-second desperation shot. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't the payoff for which I was hoping.
Losing Nash and Sting at this point in their careers is not a bad thing. I am hopeful that means TNA can free up that money to bring in some fresh faces like Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, or Low Ki.
Bringing back Suicide is a bad move. They should have buried that gimmick for good. Since it is no secret that Kazarian was Suicide, who is going to be wearing the mask now? Where is Christopher Daniels these days?

If TNA is going to be WCW, they should at least try to be the more successful, mid-90s WCW. When WCW was beating WWF week after week, it was because they went on the offensive against Vince. They revealed the winner of title matches, they stole top wrestlers, and they took every single shot at the WWF they could. As soon as anyone in TNA knows for sure about Sting, they should announce it on Impact and steal the "surprise" away from Vince.

Unfortunately, TNA is far more like early 2000s WCW; they're three steps behind everything WWE is doing (though, fairly, that isn't a whole hell of a lot interesting to me), they're putting all their energy into ridiculous storylines and they're determined to keep irrelevant guys in the thick of things and keep anyone exciting and new on the back burner so long any excitement for them will be long gone by the time they finally get the push. I just wish we could see one offensive move against WWE, because right now, for me, there's almost nothing to keep me coming back.

WWE is about the kids, its a shame TNA has some good wrestlers but the language and story content make me turn it right off again. Simply won't let my kids view it.

If you think Nash was "released" by TNA, you need a lobotomy.

If you believe Dixie word-for-word, then i have a bridge I can sell you...
