Before your 2 interviews, I always thought Raven was more likeable and interesting than Shane Douglas. No disrespect to Raven, but now I'd lean towards Shane. Good luck and health to both of them.

Minor mistake, but I think the vid is Shane Douglas instead of Raven.
RESPONSE FROM KE: Yep, I fixed it. Thanks.

You get a good feeling watching this interview -- he really seems to be at peace with himself, happy and with his feet firmly on the ground.
Douglas was a considerable talent, although his two stretches in the WWE were probably not his best work.
I don't think Shane approached it properly at the time, and ended up legitimately aggravating Ric Flair, but I think there was a longer feud to be had there. Douglas actually was on to something, but didn't sell his idea in a way that was appreciated by either Flair or the top brass.
WCW took a short run at the feud, but didn't really do much with what they had to work with. Perhaps it wasn't possible, given the legitimate issues between the two guys at that time.
I notice that in your interview, he mentioned Flair as someone he looked up to as a young wrestler. That was fascinating. The amount of attention he gave Flair years ago suggested he thought he could get a rub and advance his career in a feud with Flair.
