How can anyone not vote for Edge? He is a proven commodity at the top. The Miz & Mr. Anderson are still new - and in time, they might well surpass Edge's achievements and abilities but that time hasn't arrived yet.

None of the above: they all suck. Best wrestlers in TNA: Angle,Styles,Hardy. In WWE: Punk,Orton

How about D. None of the Above? Any of the choices is like a big dose of Ipecac, but especially Edge and the Miz. I would have to say that for me, Ken Anderson is the least repulsive of the three, but that's not saying much....

Somewhat of a loaded question, as the results are bound to be skewed by the size of WWE as compared to TNA.
However, if we're talking about the champion with the most potential, and the best mix of mic/promo skills, ability to give an exciting match, (again, TNA is going to be somewhat skewed here, as their burying of Anderson's importance since his title win reduces his ability to have a good match---one needs good opponents to work with for that--and good card promotion), and the ability to remain marketable beyond any one storyline, it just seems to me that Anderson wins hands down.
All three are talented, and the Miz is also exciting on the mic and in the ring. For all of the focus in both companies on old and staid superstars, it is revealing that the belts are held by more alternative talents. Edge is the oldest, but he still is capable of giving quality entertainment when circumstances allow, but I feel, again, that his prominence in the voting is somewhat skewed by the fact that he is the most heavily promoted of the three by the biggest company, which doesn't really reveal much more than the fact that the Big Mac is still a popular sandwich for the same reasons. (doesn't mean it's good, or healthy-Big Macs, as an aside, are preserved with a derivative of BHT-also used as industrial floor varnish-not an urban legend but a fact). The great majority of folks are heavily influenced by product placement, but these same people will support any product placed in the same spot. It works for burgers and dishsoap, but I would hope at the end of the day, that wrestlers, at their best, are better measured by intangibles that it takes a little more of a critical eye to see.
In the long run, the 10% of folks who have the critical eye tend to have the better feel for what works than the 90% that pick up the Big Mac. Let us not forget the Ultimate Warrior. The 90% do not have a good track record of supporting the guys who last and have a legitimate talent.
RESPONSE FROM KE: I understand what you're saying about WWE being a bigger brand that TNA, but keep in mind that many WWE fans are casual wrestling fans who probably do not frequent wrestling blogs, while TNA's fan base is more of a hardcore pro wrestling fam that would likely be part of the IWC. Plus, when I conducted one of these polls on the best world champion last summer between RVD (TNA), Kane (WWE wordl) and Sheamus (WWE), RVD won in a landslide.

Edge is the best by far in terms of in-ring ability, but I think both Miz and Anderson surpass him in terms of mic skills. Putting the total package together, though, Edge is probably the best overall champion.

None of the above. Vicki Guerrero is the reason the big brown paper bag was invented.
BTW, Preston, I don't care what color you are, everybody should learn how to spell.

I say The Miz by a long shot. He has proven himself so much and has lived up to all expectations. What do you think Kevin?
RESPONSE FROM KE: I like all three guys, but if I had to vote for one it would be Edge.

I've watched wrestling since the days of Bruno Sammartino. These are all mid-card wrestlers. As champions they are a joke.
None of the above.

Edge - by miles. Far superior in every aspect - especially resume.
Posted by: Ruzious | February 6, 2011 4:58 PM
I voted for The Miz. The only thing keeping me from from voting for Edge is the fact that he is a much better heel. I dont really like the "cheer for me" Edge. And all Anderson has is the fact that he likes to use swear words that the other organization doesnt use.
Posted by: Matt | February 6, 2011 5:36 PM
I have to give Edge the advantage just in years served and title reigns, however The Miz is in a much better storyline and is way more compelling at the present time. The Miz is also proving that he is World Championship material. He has served his time in the lower card so I have to say he has paid his dues. If a heel champion's goal is to make you want to see him lose the title he has accomplished it for most, but not me. I hope he keeps it through Wrestlemania.

I found this to be a no-brainer. Like the first poster said, Edge is clearly the most proven. Even though he is on the downside of his career, Edge can still deliver good matches (especially when matched with the right opponent or in a gimmick match) and is an excellent talker.
On the other hand, I find Mr. Anderson to be a mediocre wrestler at best, with few interesting things to say on the mike. I think his promos are usually obnoxious, and this "a**hole" persona is particuarly sophmoric.
MIZ on the other hand ha spotential. He's a wonderful talker. He just needs to have some good matches, and some in-ring credibility. I think the only way he'll get it is for WWE to push him hard for like a year. He needs to win a lot.

48% for Edge. Really. REALLY.
Really?
Miz is magnetic. I can't remember the last time I've even been TEMPTED to fast-forward while Miz was on-screen, wrestling OR talking. I want to see what Miz will do, I want to hear what Miz will say. It's always outrageous, often shocking, often funny, always entertaining!
Meanwhile, what is Edge even about? A Rated R superstar in a PG world... is he, like, some sort of rock&roll dude or something? What's his deal? He's witty, sometimes, but his best work is well behind him. His body's not what it was. His feud with Jericho was by far the dullest thing Jericho was involved in since turning heel, and Edge's title chase vs. Kane was a "year's worst" contender.
As for Anderson, I think it's too soon to say. Still getting used to the idea of him as champ. Nothing against the guy, but...

I'm surprised many vote for Edge, because Edge is definitely not the best. His recent feud with Kane was garbage, and then his feud with Dolph Ziggler I'd say was made better because it was Ziggler.
In terms of audience reaction, Miz is likely the best. I hate his character, loathe it, so he's definitely doing his job as a heel. Edge doesn't sway me either way, but I do get annoyed like hell when he pulls really stupid, pathetic faces before the Spear. And besides, after you've seen Goldberg do a spear, Edge's spear seems a bit lame.

To all who answered "None of the above" - learn to read. The question is which one is best - not are any of them qualified.

The Miz. He´s young, an excellent talker and you can feel the passion and the desire that drives him. And that´s something I´ve been missing with Edge recently. He bores me and for me he looks like he´s bored too.

The best wrestler in WWE is Orton but I voted for Edge here.
The guy is a class act. He's got lots of moves, good mic skills and can take a bump with the best of them, though he's not as toned these days.
Mr Anderson is so so in my opinion but the people who voted for Miz need to be roundhoused in the head. It is an embarrasment that he is the champ. The guy is a midcarder dressed up as a top guy and he's making me not want to watch Raw.

Best is definitely relative. Edge is the most established, but he's truly unwatchable as the Rated PG Superstar. Not since he had (literally) Lita has he been compelling. He's credible to be champ, but no one cares what he does. To say he is the best champ is like saying Troy Polamalu is the Defensive Player of the Year.

From the comments here, I think some of these voters are confusing the abilities of wrestlers with the material they are given. It's not Edge's fault that he had to feud with Kane or that his transition to a babyface was poorly done. It's not the Miz's fault that he has to wrestle with the likes of Orton & Lawler either. Those are all the decisions made by the WWE, not the wrestlers.
What we do know is that Edge can wrestle well with just about anyone - even during the lacklustre Kane feud, he managed to pull off a good falls count anywhere match. The Miz has had some good matches with Bryan & Morrison last year but his matches with Orton have not really been memorable. Like I said in the first comment above, not exactly a proven commodity yet. On the mic, Edge has delivered more memorable promos than both Anderson & the Miz combined. His latest babyface promos might not be on the same level but that's not surprising considering the poor material and feuds he has to work with. Bear in mind though there are probably very few wrestlers that can kidnap another person's father and still remain a babyface.

Martel (AWA), Flair (NWA) or Hogan (WWF)?
RESPONSE FROM KE: Race (NWA), Backlund (WWF) or Bockwinkel (AWA)?

I'm guessing it's mostly the folks 18 and under who are voting for Miz.
Posted by: Ruzious | February 7, 2011 7:36 AM
Dave said it best...they are all mid-carders. Especially Edge & the Miz, IMHO.

Have to weigh in on this one:
Anderson by a long shot. I don't get edge at all. His mic skills are highly overrated and he has the same match every week (although that may be WWE's fault more than his). The Miz has come a long way but still isn't much in the ring beside a finishing move and a sneer. Anderson is much closer to a total package.

Obviously Edge, he beat The Miz on Monday Night RAW last week and he also defeated Mr. Kennedy for his second Money in the Bank briefcase.[/sarcasm]
My vote: The Miz. He's fresh and on his way up. Edge has gotten dull (as most edges do over the years) so even if his personal best years were better than Miz today, his best days are in the past and I'd bet his retirement is coming up sooner than later (those "career-shortening matches" aren't just for hype).
As for the third, I was never a fan of Kennedy and I haven't watched TNA since it became WWE Jr.

Edge without a doubt.
Mr Anderson is ok. He is better than jeff hardy but I would rather see someone like AJ Styles or Samoa Joe with the belt. Both are not happening soon.
Miz is good but I still dont see him as champion material.
