John Cena reportedly injured at house show

WWE’s biggest star appeared to suffer a knee injury at a WWE Raw house show in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Tuesday night, according to various Web reports.

John Cena apparently injured his knee when taking Wade Barrett’s Wasteland slam. They immediately went to the finish, with Cena winning by submission.

After the match, Cena – who was having trouble putting weight on the leg – got on the mic and said to the crowd that he may “need time off after tonight,” and then he limped to the back under his own power.

Cena is scheduled to face WWE champion The Miz, Randy Orton and Barrett in the main event of tonight’s WWE show at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore.

Obviously, if the injury is serious it would be a major blow to WWE, which traditionally begins building to April’s WrestleMania at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which takes place Jan. 30.

You think they'll pull the old "In case you haven't heard, John Cena was the victim of a vicious attack, perpetrated by CM Punk and Nexus", then show some footage in the back of Cena getting his knee blown up w/ a chair?

No!!!!!! I'm going tonight and one of the reason of going is to see John Cena in action. This is a total blow to the WWE. But I hope a speedy recovery on John Cena's part.

Terrible news for the wwe if he's out for a lengthy period of time missing wrestlemania e.t.c Im sure it will affect ppv buyrates and revenue e.t.c. While i've never been the biggest cena fan it would be a shame to see such a hard working performer miss out on the biggest show of the year, However if he is absent from a wwe from a period of time this can be a postive and somebody else can step up to the plate. Will be interesting to see what WWE plan b is now will this change all the main events they had planned? As one injury can cause a domino effect. It certainly makes thingS more unpredictable which is one thing I'm happy about.

apparently on his website he isnt injured it was kayfabe he ha personal things to sort out and he will be at the royal rumble.

I hope he's not too banged up. I was all ready for Punk to verbally assassinate him in front of all the kiddies.
