Eric Young, Raven, Lacey Von Erich gone from TNA

Longtime TNA star Eric Young has left the company, as has Raven and TNA Knockout Lacey Von Erich.

Young and TNA could not come to terms on a new contract, but are still in talks, according to pwinsider.com.

I have long thought that Young was talented but just misused. He shined when he was given an opportunity to be a serious character instead of a comedy figure.

Raven was written out of the story line at the recent Impact tapings. His departure is not a surprise, as the EV 2.0 angle seems to has run its course. Fellow former ECW star Sabu finished up with TNA last week.

Von Erich posted the following on her Twitter page earlier this evening:

“I decided to respectfully leave TNA today. I want to try new things, like be a sports host or something :) Love ya'll!”

It was very obvious that LVE just wasn’t very good in the ring, although she was very nice to look at. The real question is: With LVE gone, who will teach Miss Tessmacher how to wrestle?

I guess this means Taz doesn't get to make any smart-a** (but funny) comments about LVE teaching anyone to wrestle anymore? Too bad. Raven just looked bored and ready to go home towards the end. And while I'm not the biggest Eric Young fan, I sure as hell hope the last memory of his run in TNA isn't him in couples counseling with Orlando Jordan. That would be sad.

And while I have respect for the man, I think Tommy Dreamer should probably be next to go. I know he was hurt, but he just can't bring it in the ring anymore.

I was hoping to see Lacey Von Erich become a big star as a heel. She has the size and the look, she just needs more time to hone her skills.

All the best to her.

With Lacey Von Erich gone, there's no good reason left to watch TNA!

"With Lacey Von Erich gone, there's no good reason left to watch TNA!" - only someone posting as "Anonymous" would write that...........but actually the second part of the sentence is true

I cant believe Raven left man. I understand they werent using him but damn he's been there forever and is kinda one of their originals. Hopefully he signs with WWE and they use him to his fullest. Last time he was in WWE they really didnt use him good, now they could use him and make him the brutal force I've grown to love. This guys been my favorite wrestler since i was 10, and Im 23 now, so I just hope he gets that push. I could see him being super dominate though. But what kind of world could he live in if he cant be hardcore, this PG [stuff] is gay. I couldnt imagine Austin or The Rock being around now. I don't think they'd of been as big cuz they went hard at eachother. now they call eachother dumbies instead of a**holes... im just saying if its on cable it should be able to do whatever it wants. and the FCC should leave them alone.

I would like to personally volunteer to take over the training of Miss Tessmacher. However, before I do, I will require several one on one meetings with LVE to discuss her progress. I know, it's a dirty job but, somebody has to so it.

So TNA has no room for Eric Young, but the Robbie E character can hold a belt. TNA was so much better when the focus was on the ring and not on the crapsacks who lust to have the focus on them (Hogan, Bischoff). The WCW comparisons will continue so long as 90 percent of 'Impact" is focused on non-wrestlers, and quality younger guys leave because Hogan and Flair need more face time.

I think I'll quote Ron Simmons after hearing about Lacey leaving TNA! It makes me wanna say...

I will watch anything with LVE on it .. so even if she becomes a sports host for snail races I am there.

I'll also miss LVE. I had great hopes for her all the way back to her first TNA TV appearnce when she used the "Claw Hold" just like her grandfather(?) Fritz Von Erich. It was perfect, using that name, usng that finisher but then with typical TNA follow up don't ever use that finisher again. Oh, well - she wasn't great in the ring but with her looks and size she was put on TV way too early for her skills. Farewell, darlin'!

LVE and Velvet Sky always caught my attention and is gone. You are so right Kevin, she was very nice to look at.

I guess with Mickie James in TNA, there wasn't enough room for the 2 hottest girls in wrestling today in the same company. I wish Raven had wrestled some more matches after he returned, and he was the least-used EV2 guy. From what I hear, EY has resigned with TNA, so hopefully he and Jordan will break up soon. Whatever happened to their breakup at BFG?

I honestly won't miss any of these folks being off TNA programming. If LVE stays in the business, I could see her heading over to WWE for a stint. She can't wrestle, but neither can the majority of the current Divas. As far as EY and Raven go, I'll have to respectfully disagree with the guy a few posts up and say there is absolutely no way WWE would sign either of these guys.
