Report: Former WWE Diva Katie Lea Burchill signs with TNA

Former WWE Diva Katie Lea Burchill (real name Katarina Waters) has signed with TNA, according to a report on pwinsider.com.

Burchill – who will not be able to use that name in TNA – had been released by WWE last April. She was never given a significant push in WWE despite the fact that she had a unique look and was a decent worker.

This is another good signing for TNA as it attempts to reinvigorate its Knockouts Division. Former WWE star Mickie James, who was released by WWE the same day as Burchill, made her debut with TNA last week.

I love how tna fans quick up a snit when WWE man gets hired regardless of who they are, but when its a female its a 'great addition'

still katie should be great. as long as tna stop foucsing on the beaut people and masidion/LVE, thier knockout division should improve.

I cant help but think its not a concidence that when eric/hogan came in the knockouts started to go downhill

Good for her. I would venture to guess she'll be cast as a heel, align herself with Madison Rayne and put into a program with Mickie James.

BTW, doesn't Rayne now bear a striking resemblance to Ms. James?

Where's Roxxi, Daffney, and Awesome Kong. I mean, how can you get rid some of your best talent (men or women) like that? Still better than the WWE women's division, which has always been terrible. If TNA really wanted to showcase what they can offer that WWE doesn't, they would sign these three and have em go at it with the Beautiful People, who are the best real heel faction going today. That includes Nexus and Fortune and "them". Not excited at all by Mickey James or whoever Burchill

Might be a reason to watch TNA for 5 minutes while she is on .. always liked her work even with that stupid incest angle

Good signing, but the new regime in TNA only cares about The Beautiful People, Tara and Mickie James.
