Matt Hardy finally gets released by WWE
Matt Hardy, who has practically been begging for his release from WWE on YouTube and Twitter, finally got his wish. Hardy was wished well in his future endeavors by WWE today.
Hardy tweeted the following this afternoon:
“Thank God! :) I swear.. It was harder for me to get released then it was to get hired! This is ABSOLUTELY what I want, now I can be me! I wanna thank WWE for giving me an opportunity, & I thank all the people & friends that helped me there. But I HAD to move on to be happy. I wanna thank JR, who hired me, Michael Hayes, who taught me SO much, & Vince, for letting me make a living & learn from him for 12 years.
“While some of you make look at this as an ending-I promise you, this is THE [expletive deleted] BEGINNING FOR MATT HARDY! Now I can create change! Altho WWE gave me SO much, I honestly feel like a prisoner set free. Now I have no more strict rules, personal or creative, to be bound by.”
Joining his brother Jeff in TNA seems like the obvious next move for Matt.
Matt had been under contract with WWE since 1998, except for a four-month period in 2005. He was always over with the fans even during periods when he was buried on television. But while a case could certainly be made that he never received the push he deserved, he didn’t exactly blow anyone away with his performance as a heel during a high-profile feud with Jeff in 2009.

Comments
I can see it now: babyface Matt Hardy goes to TNA to fight heel Jeff Hardy.
That or the Hardys team up again as heels to start out.

Matt hardy is the definition of being a tool. That dork isn't gonna do anything special anywhere else...

Thank you Omar! Matt Hardy is the biggest tool in all of professional wrestling. I really hope that TNA has no interest in him so I never have to see him on my TV again. Sadly, I'm sure TNA is drooling over the chance to sign yet another ex-WWE guy. I hate Matt Hardy.

I wish both Matt and Jeff would just go away .. i have seen such whinners before .. thanks to WWE for finally releasing Matt so that we can stop being bombarded with his rants on YouTube .. he is acting like he is going to be the next Jesus Christ and change the world but he is just heading for another mid-card or lower job ..

I honestly hope I never see or hear about Matt Hardy ever again. The guy is terrible.

i am so sick of hearing him say the best is yet to come. What has he done in wwe as a singles wrestler and what version of matt hardy is he up to now? They all failed and so will his ultimate comeback.

How did he tweet all that? Looks like more than140 characters to me.
RESPONSE FROM KE: It's like five tweets strung together.

I can see it now...Matt Hardy shows up in TNA looking more bloated than Scott Hall after a ten day booze-cruise and "wows" 60 fans in the Impact zone with his dwindling athleticism and non existent mic skills. I'm so stoked.

He was decent at first as a tag team with Jeff, and he did somehow stay over. But I personally never liked him, and once he balooned after his hernia he sucked in the ring as much as he sucked on the mic. Goodbye Matt. More room for Goldust and Christian (once he comes back)

TNA has no impulse control. I could see them turning Jeff again (in 90 days or less) just to capitalize on he and Matt's popularity WHEN he arrives.

I hope i'm wrong because i'd love to see him in TNA but i have this strange feeling that this is all an elaborate work.

It's so sad when these guys become such marks for themselves they have no clue. You peaked over 10 years ago Matt, the best was a long time ago. Going to TNA and being just another guy isn't exactly shocking the world.

I turned off Matt due to wwe miss use of him .
I mean you have got to look at what was holding him and many of the others back .
A Conservative approach to a business like wrestling is one thing ,
but when you hire Athletes based on their extreme styles and add rules to them ; you kind of stifle them .Hes been there for 12 years ! ?
He needs a fresh breath ...
Go get em Matt !!! Kick some a** and show us what your made of . Cause if its anything like Jeff , it can only be better .

Finally, Lita got Matt out of the WWE. If sleeping with Edge don't work keep looking for a Punk that will :-)

I pray Matt does not go to TNA. Another guy to take a spot away from a TNA guy. Its bad enough that we have to watch his Felon brother as champion.
