Kevin Nash reiterates that he's done with TNA

Kevin Nash, who wrote on Twitter Saturday that he was leaving TNA, tweeted early this morning that his final appearance with the company will be at tonight’s Impact tapings.

“If you were a fan of mine, please stay true to TNA,” he wrote. “My deal went south on money not respect for the guys I worked with or the production crew that busts their a** every week.”

Nash also indicated that he was not going to WWE. A source within WWE told me recently that the company would not sign Nash if he became available.”

If Nash is truly leaving and the decision-makers in TNA knew it heading into Sunday’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view, it’s mind-boggling that they still booked Nash to beat Samoa Joe in the handicap tag team match at the show.

I thought Nash was one of the desicion makers in TNA. You know how well Big Sexy plays with backstage politics

I don't believe for one second that Kevin Nash is leaving. He's probably taking a break for a while to sell that TNA turned their backs on him after he told them what Hogan and Bischoff were up to. He'll come back later on down the road and if the storyline is still in effect, he'll probably join them. While the money may not be good, it's better than anything else he'll get at this point in his career.

I don't find it "mind-boggling." Kevin Nash has always had an incredible innate talent for talking his way into positions in the wrestling industry where, if based purely on talent, he had no business occupying. His career is a string of "not best for the company, but best for Kevin Nash" incidents. And people talk about that as if it's pure selfishness on his part. There are lots of selfish people in the world, but consistently talking your bosses into indulging your selfishness, even when it's to their detriment, is a rare skill.

Could be worse. They could have given him an epic send-off at WrestleMania only to have him go elsewhere and utterly disgrace himself on a nightly basis.

Kevin Nash should have retired 8 years ago, in 2002 when he injured his leg and force the WWE creatives to end the NWO "revival". Period.

It;s clear about 2 things. Nash is retiring and this would be his last match (unless he wrestle on impact)

Overall, the match was decent and just build to the end when jarret turn heel.

Second thing is that TNA like to bury young stars. Look at who got pinned. Joe and AJ. Who pinned them? Dreamer and Nash.

He should stick around, what the hell else is he gonna do?

Of course WWE won't hire him, they only hire guys who look like retards like rey mysterio and hornswagole, santino morele

This *is* TNA we're talking about here...

Under the circumstances, I think the booking decision at Bound for Glory actually makes more sense. There could have been two reasons for it:
1) A last-ditch effort bargaining effort by TNA, to show that even though they won't pay the salary Nash demands, they'd continue to put him over to maintain his high visibility and merchandising/crossover potential.
2) A "thank you" for his years of service to the company.

Kev, I have mixed feelings about this. The first thought is I can't help but think this is another 'work' as TNA has been so fond of lately.

But just in case it is indeed true...I still have mixed feelings. While Nash does have a certain charisma (I used to love his early TNA segments with Alex Shelly) and can 'be' over...just how over is he these days now anyway?

We all know that many of these guys have super huge ego's, but ego's just can't carry the show anymore. I'm so tired of younger talent being moved out for these long, convoluted, and rehashed storylines form these so called legends.

I realize Dixie wants 'starpower', but to flood the roster with these guys that can't move anymore and who are know behind the scenes to be all about the money. Now do I blame Nash for the money aspect? No, not really. Hey, if you can get it...more power to you. But with that money, you also need to bring yoru best to the table and to the ring...and well...does Nash really do that in the ring? Like Flair, his movements are so scripted, limited, and telegraphed these days, never being in the ring myself, I can predict with pretty high accuracy how all of his matches are laid out. Predictable in every sense.

It's a shame he's pretty adamant about the money, especially these days.

On the flip side of all of this, perhaps some funds and TV time will be freed up for someone younger who can step up. I used to really enjoy TNA, but it really is like watching WCW (in it's last years) all over again...and that's not a good thing.

So while I wish Nash the best of luck, I'm not going to miss the labored ring matches of his these days or the repetive storylines.

Aww, poor Kev. TNA wasn't paying him enough money to lumber down to the ring in slow motion, ease himself carefully over the top rope, and occasionally throw a punch or two.

I'd say this is evidence that TNA is finally coming to its senses, except that it's the ONLY such piece of evidence. Otherwise, it still has its head firmly wedged where the sun don't shine.

Does anything TNA does involving Joe really surprise you? But in all fairness, it was 3 on 1 when he got beat. And Joe is the rare talent that - no matter how badly he's mis-used, he's compelling.

Nice comments by Nash, but couldn't he have given TNA the chance to use him in a retirement match? Otoh, maybe nobody would have been interested enough to pay to watch it. I'm guessing there's a book deal in his future, but it seems a lot of these TNA guys suffer from the delusion that they can become tv and movie stars.

Nooooooooooo what will the world do with a guy who gets injured putting on his pants? How will wrestling fans be able to deal with a man who stopped caring 10 years ago and was only in it for the money? How soon before ROH throws big bucks his way? I'm heartbroken. Totally heartbroken.

You're slacking, Eck.
I keep checking back for your Raw thoughts here at work every hour.

I agree with Jake, Eck. Youre slacking. I keep waiting to see your thoughts on Raw but Lord knows what youre doing right now. Hurry up and write an article you lazy bum

Damn! I wish there was a "LIKE" button for that comment from Abdul!

I wonder how many new talents they can buy with his old salary.
