Carlito video interview

Here is an interview I conducted with former WWE star Carlito this past weekend at the Maryland Championship Wrestling show in Joppatowne, Md.

Carlito discussed the Wellness Policy violation that led to his WWE release, his frustration with WWE while working there and whether he will end up in TNA.

Good interview. Nice to see Carlito still going strong.

I always liked Carlito, and heard he was nice to the fans.He seems like a pretty cool guy, so I'm glad to hear he's enjoying his future endeavors.

That was a lot of "you know what I means", you know what I mean?

Hope to see Carlito in ROH at some point.

I've seen some vids on YouTube where people have talked about how they're fed up with TNA and they actually want the promotion to die and so on. I feel the same way about WWE. You've got a work environment where guys need to take drugs to do their job (and often DIE from doing so), where guys are unhappy, where the women are reduced to nothing but eye candy, where people get bullied backstage and punished for breaking rules such as "don't fly first class" that they weren't even told about when they got there, etc. It's depressing as hell to think about.

Not that TNA is a whole lot better; the schedule's easier, sure, but they still don't pay a lot of their talent very well, if you need surgery and decide to have it they'll take a percentage out of your future paychecks until they get back what they paid, and I've read multiple reports about how locker room morale has been low this year. And if the workers want to do an indy show, or if an indy promotion wants to use them for a match, TNA charges an exorbitant fee for their services and keeps most of the money for itself.

So I don't blame Carlito for wanting to leave WWE, and I don't blame him for being hesitant to sign with TNA either.

what a good guy

peace :)
