Report: Mickie James comes to terms with TNA

Former WWE Diva Mickie James has come to terms on a contract with TNA, according to a report on pwinsider.com.

The report said that James is expected to make her debut with the company next month, likely on the live Impact on Oct. 7 or the Bound for Glory pay-per-view on Oct. 10.

Signing James, who worked in TNA during the early days of the eight-year-old company as Alexis Laree, would obviously go a long way in reinvigorating TNA’s once-mighty women’s division.

I swear if I see her I think I wil.l mark out like crazy I am a huge fan of Mickie James would like to see her fued with Angelina I think that could be an intresting feud.

Wow, I had been waiting for this. I just hope it's true this time because it was reported before and then they said it was false.

Adding Mickie James will help the division alot. I would like to see them sign aloisia(NXT kicked off Rookie),and a coulpe more solid workers. Everybody thought since Kong left the division was dead, but hopefully its about to get alot better.

I'm calling it now:

MICKIE JAMES IS GOING TO BE "THEY"

You read it here first.

The most obvious fued is with the Beautiful People. Mickie was one of the biggest female stars ever on WWE and TNA is obviously Beautiful People turf, so is there really anyway around a Mickie James VS Beautiful People fued?

My only concern is Mickie James already fueded with Team Laycool which are kind of WWE's version of The Beautiful People, so could it seem to similar? I don't see another Piggie James angle since Velvet Sky pretty much has the same body type as Mickie James.

Either way things could get interesting.

So I was going to comment on your Raw review since I disagreed slightly with something loco said, but realized it may be better suited for this post.

I'm glad they're calling it the Diva's Championship and not the Women's Championship. The Women's Championship has tradition while the Diva's Championship is a joke. It's sad because there is talent on the roster, but it's buried. Kev will hate me but Eve Torres is a nothing, McCool only has "go away" heat, Alicia Fox can dance/strut/scowl and not much else, Rosa Mendes...do I even need to go there and you get my point. Sadly, most of them have been the ones getting pushed.

Meanwhile, those with actual talent are the enhancement pieces. If I have to watch PG bulls*** on the men's side, then the women should be PG too. What's so PG about no one with less than a D cup or doing nude Tombstones with the Undertaker being the ones getting the biggest push and most air time?

Poor Gail Kim better at least be getting paid well. Melina is probably the most over female and she's done more jobs than Ariel has gone on to do in XXX movies. Beth Phoenix is an amazing wrestler and showed she had a personality in her work with Santino, but she's basically irrelevant. Even Maryse was making huge strides in being a credible talent and she had true heel heat before she went to be DiBiase's sidekick on a trip to nowhere. Heck, Kelly Kelly has even improved immensely in the ring from her ECW days.

Then there is Mickie James who was run down on TV for being "overweight" because that's a great message to put out there and then fired on top of that. It's no wonder no one will ever come back and do WrestleMania anymore. TNA punted their division too, but at least someone actually writes for it.

In WWE, even the women are confused since they can't remember who to brawl with as lumberjills. Are you face? Heel? Who knows? You'll find out when you get to the Gorilla position. Oh, you had a horrible feud with her 2 years ago and we haven't explained why you're friends now? Ask that again and you'll be in TNA by New Year's turning more times than Vince Sr. in his grave every Monday and Friday night.

That being said, I'd like to see her tap her old maniacal side in TNA. Every former WWE star doesn't need to be some kind of savior.

Im have follow mickie james carerr since i was 4 years old she is the new diva of the decade i reckon and she is the 10 years ago she was in tna and was in the ravens group and had a feud with Jeff Jarret so theres cind of history there so i wonder if jeff jarret would like to have mickie laree james singed a contract with tna again so go MICKIE JAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neat. When is Shelton Benjamin, Batista and Charlie Haas coming too?

I'm hoping TNA turns her heel and joins Tara in a WWE vs. TNA type angle. I can see Mickie come in with an "arrogant, I've been X number of times champion from up north, better than you are" attitude. What angle can you anticipate, Kev?

RESPONSE FROM KE: Mickie is a natural babyface. Fans love her. No way would I have her come in as a heel.

"The report said that James is expected to make her debut with the company next month, likely on the live Impact on Oct. 7 or the Bound for Glory pay-per-view on Oct. 10."

It's going to be the October 7 episode of Impact. TNA just can't resist giving stuff away for free!

I response to your comment to me about James turning heel, this is TNA you know. i wouldn't be suprised if they did. Plus, they need more heels on the show.

You have to bring her in as a face to capitalize on her "new person to the company" momentum.

With that in mind, though, a feud with the top heel (Madison) doesn't sound all that great, in terms of marketing. Might be better to have Mickie feud with Tara.

Too bad Angelina & Velvet aren't heels any more.

Do you think Mickie James will return to the WWE?

I still think Mickie will come back to WWE. It might be a year or 2, but I think she'll come back.
