A.J. Styles. It is the "global" title =)

I vote for the Celtic Warrior, because he kicks people in the face.

Where's the "None of the above" category???
Posted by: Bill Drain | July 26, 2010 2:03 PM
Two big guys with limited in-ring abilities against RVD? I didn't realize this was a contest.
Posted by: scotty_danger | July 26, 2010 2:09 PM
Kane hasn't held it long enough, and Sheamus can't get a clean win. RVD is also the longest reigning of the current world champs.
Posted by: Hank | July 26, 2010 2:27 PM
Hmm good timing with the pole. It's pretty obvious that the majority of people are going to pick Van Dam. You should wait until there's two decent champions in WWE. Then it would be a bit more interesting.
Posted by: Paul | July 26, 2010 2:30 PM
Without revealing my pick, I will say it was begrudging. I got more excited trying to choose between George Bush and John Kerry.
Posted by: Stephen | July 26, 2010 2:39 PM
anyone who voted sheamus is lost. completely lost.
Posted by: ulitimate krag. | July 26, 2010 3:09 PM
Surprisingly to me, Kane is by far my favorite of these three champions! (PS, Paul has the right idea regarding the timing of the poll, but it's nice TNA be given something it can't screw up.)
On the one hand, Kane's title reign means nothing. On the other hand, I like it when people who have been solidly in the midcard for 10+ years are given the opportunity to shine, especially if they are rewarded when they make the most of the opportunity. Kane is firing on all cylinders right now, and I love that he has a "deranged" element to his personality again with his protecting/destroying Rey Mysterio.

does the tna title even qualify as major?
Posted by: nash | July 26, 2010 3:47 PM
You forgot the WCB Title World Chanpion of Blogs, to be settled tonight. As long as you don't mark out for Mickie you'll be the champ.
Posted by: Jimbo Slice | July 26, 2010 3:49 PM
I vote AJ Styles and whoever is champ over in ROH. (write in votes count, right?)
Posted by: jon in bradenton | July 26, 2010 4:05 PM
RVD couldnt wrestle himself out of a paper bag. The Mulkey Brothers and Brooklyn Brawler are better wrestlers than RVD will ever be.
Posted by: Brian | July 26, 2010 4:18 PM
It doesn't matter because as my brother and I always say, "Bruno would whip ALL their asses!!"
Posted by: Horseman420 | July 26, 2010 5:04 PM
Without any doubt in my mind, RVD is just a pure champion at heart!
Posted by: MitZi | July 26, 2010 5:08 PM
This is beyond a reluctant vote, given how crap the current world title scene is.
Kevin, is it possible to put the MCW World title on the line during your tag match on Saturday? You probably could win this poll if you left the champion...
Posted by: Ted | July 26, 2010 5:15 PM
Where's Tyler Black, the ROH Champ? C'mon Kevin - you have GOT to expand your horizons. ROH is so far and above better than what the E or TNA are putting out there now its silly. At least include him in the poll.
RESPONSE FROM KE: I respect what Tyler Black and the other performers in ROH can do in the ring, but I used the word "major" for a reason. The fact is that no matter how good ROH may or may not be, its audience is not big enough nor is its roster star-studded enough for its world title to be considered on the same level as WWE's and TNA's.
Posted by: Mike | July 26, 2010 5:22 PM
Voted Sheamus, actually. I think he has the most upside of all three. It's just a shame that he's not booked as strongly when he's holding the title as he is without.
Posted by: Ken Raining | July 26, 2010 5:31 PM
RVD is in the later stages of his career, and yet still is the better all around wrestler and performer of the three.
Posted by: Doug Rekucki | July 26, 2010 5:32 PM
I think Rob Van Dam is the worst out of the 3 champs
he is not the same in TNA
Posted by: Chris | July 26, 2010 5:59 PM
I never watch TNA, but it has to be RVD. Just a shame he "has inhaled" because he belongs in WWE as a world champion.
Posted by: rob | July 26, 2010 7:58 PM
I'm surprised as many people that dislike TNA and it's product that RVD would have such a huge lead... LOL
Posted by: JB | July 26, 2010 8:36 PM
Pretty lame pickings. You need to add Lay-Cool to the mix.
Posted by: rb | July 26, 2010 9:53 PM
Your interview with Gillberg did include the fact that he's still technincally the lightheavyweight champion...
You could also ask how long will it take for all of them to lose their titles 0-3 months tops
Posted by: eee | July 26, 2010 10:08 PM
Claudio Castagnoli and Ares
Posted by: Jakob | July 26, 2010 10:13 PM
Had to go with RVD.
Posted by: Jeff | July 27, 2010 12:12 AM
I agree with the other Steve - I feel like all three champs are somewhat transitionary or undeserved. If the belt was on Styles or The Pope or Desmond Wolfe in TNA, or The Miz or Swagger or Orton or Jericho or Edge in the WWE, then I'd have a better answer.
Posted by: Steve G. | July 27, 2010 1:11 AM
This Poll is a No- Brainer! RVD is the WHOLE F'n SHOW!!! no matter where he wrestles..... Next Poll Please...

Where's the "None of the above" category???
Posted by: Bill Drain | July 26, 2010 2:03 PM
Exactly!
I don´t have a problem with Kane being the Champ but I wouldn´t call him the best neither would I Sheamus (with who I have a problem being the Champ!)
And RVD has always been way overrated for me, sorry.
Posted by: XDreamItchy | July 27, 2010 2:49 AM
anyone who voted sheamus is lost. completely lost.

Interesting post by someone who forgot his screen name.
Posted by: Marko50 | July 27, 2010 3:52 AM
Waitaminute! RVD has 420 votes? Is this pool fixed?
Posted by: Marko50 | July 27, 2010 3:53 AM
If you're talking about overall it's got to be Sheamus. RVD can't cut a decent promo to save his life so Sheamus has him there and Sheamus is better in the ring than Kane.
Posted by: Jason | July 27, 2010 8:17 AM
Wow, talk about weak candidates. RVD wins by default, but that is hardly an accomplishment with his competition being a guy who hasn't really been relevant in ten years and a guy who probably won't be relevant in another ten . . .
Posted by: DMac | July 27, 2010 8:31 AM
BxB Hulk, the Open the Freedom Gate champion. Dragon Gate USA. Period.
Posted by: Andre the Midget | July 27, 2010 10:58 AM
Voted for Kane--but the only way he is going to pull this off long term is if he brings back the MASK!
Posted by: Rob Rumpke | July 27, 2010 11:03 AM
I like none of the above
Posted by: rick lynden | July 27, 2010 12:05 PM
I went for Sheamus, a fellow Irishman, as he's done well in the position he's in, even with such limited experience compared to Kane and RVD. He's improved his promos and can go in the ring, though he's not the most exciting in the world. I'd like to see him put over stronger though.
I have to agree with Ted; Tyler Black is the best champion at the moment. For me, TNA is nothing but a glorified indy. And a bad one at that. No matter the "major stars" they have at the moment, ROH blows them out of the water.
Posted by: Barry | July 27, 2010 1:17 PM
are we factoring in the story lines around the champions? if so, i gotta go with sheamus, but it has as much to do with, rko, hhh, and the miz with the mitb briefcase. the anticipation for him to lose the title makes his reign the most compelling out of the three.
Posted by: nash | July 27, 2010 2:47 PM
ROH is every bit as major as TNA. Their roster is infinitely more talented as well.
Posted by: Mike | July 27, 2010 3:33 PM
I think the next poll should be: "When will Hogan win the TNA belt?"
Posted by: The Nature Boy | July 27, 2010 9:15 PM
ROH is every bit as major as TNA. Their roster is infinitely more talented as well.
Posted by: Mike | July 27, 2010 3:33 PM
ROH is nowhere near as major as TNA if your talking about viewership. HDNet? Please.
And as far as their roster, PWG may be infinitely more talented than both of them. It's really opinion.
Posted by: Marko50 | July 28, 2010 3:29 AM
Robert Roode deserves to be a champion.
Kane has deserved it for a long time, but I think he will hold the title for less than a month.
RVD is the better of the three, but we all know that Kurt Angle will be champion by October.
Posted by: Peter | July 28, 2010 11:40 AM
No Offense to ROH fans because I am one, but ROH on HDNet isn't major, TNA barly counts but that is creatives fault. As much I am a Kane mark I had to go with Sheamus.. Why?? He is a good heel champion, I mean how many clean wins did Triple H have in Evolution!! Sheamus has the attitude, the look, and old school brawler ring skills. He comes off on TV as a great persona and good Champion so far. you can't tell me he didn't look good at Wrestlemania.. Also TNA note RVD doesn't have the Heyman mind or the WWE Machine making him look like a real champion. And AJ has re-named the Global Title it the TNA TV Title. Best thing Bischoff has done since he got there!! ECK beat the crap out of Phil for me
Posted by: Maine | July 28, 2010 1:18 PM
Has to be Kane. The guy is a fixture of WWE, and although his matches are unspectacular, he remains one of the most over guys on the roster.
A solid and dependable worker, not to mention an intruging character, Kane is heads above both Sheamus and RVD.
Posted by: Bryan McKellar | July 29, 2010 3:45 AM
Kane, simply for his pure dedication, good attitude and consistency. He's not going to put on a five-star classic, and he'll never be able to carry anyone as bad as Khali but as far as each champion goes he's the best storyteller in and out of the ring.
Also, he's the most dependable: Good disciplinary record, fairly solid ring-work and to be as consistent as he has for over 10 years is phenomenal.
On top of that, he's the most entertaining as a character and recently he has been absolutely brilliant in every way.
Posted by: Bruce | July 30, 2010 4:41 PM
Sheamus just because of the way he says WWE.
Posted by: Matt | July 30, 2010 9:12 PM
I voted for RVD. Why?
Because he's the only one of the three whose matches I'm not tempted to fast-forward through when sit down to watch the week's shows.
