Bryan Danielson blogs about his WWE release
This has been out there for a couple days, but in case anyone missed it, Bryan Danielson (aka Daniel Bryan) posted a blog on his website in which he discussed the circumstances surrounding his release from WWE.
“WWE is very serious about adhering to their PG guidelines, and apparently my actions during the NXT attack on John Cena, namely choking announcer Justin Roberts with his tie and spitting in Cena’s face, crossed the boundaries of what is considered ‘PG,’ ” Danielson wrote.
Danielson said that he is “very angry” about getting fired, but that he does not fault WWE for how they handled his release. As for his plans once his 90-day no-compete is up, Danielson said that he is not in a rush to make any decisions.
“I’ve ‘heard’ that TNA is interested,” he wrote. “There are petitions going around to get me back into WWE and the last several weeks there have been fans chanting my names at their shows. People have even brought signs showing their support. And though most of the signs get taken away and though WWE may not be listening to your chants or petitions, I truly appreciate all the support over the last several weeks. It is both overwhelming and heartwarming.”

Daniel Bryan rules! Go to TNA and put Ric Flair in a choke hold

I am still struggling with his release?????
I guess the continuous beatings on Matt Hardy by Drew McIntyre were all PG. Or PPV's titled EXTREME RULES or HELL in a CELL, or STEEL CAGE matches are all PG. Or the camera man that shot the footage of non PG wrestling, when Bryan was choking Justin.
It now doesn't seem like a work, but it also makes no sense. Trust me when I say...If I don't see some crazy angles in the WWE, I probably wouldn't watch.
Face it fans....its the ultimate FANTASY, of good versus evil. And Daniel Bryan merchandise sales surely did not drop off because of it. I beg you Vince, (oops, Mr. McMahon)let Cena and Roberts 2 on 1 with Bryan, give him a beating, and balance it out.I always want to see a beatdown. Now tell me...when is it PG when someone gets slammed thru a table? Jeff Hardy off a 30 foot ladder onto PUNK was PG?
WHATEVER!

couple days late on the news Kev, but news none the less. I just enjoy how he has been kissing WWE butt lately. With the PG promo he cut at i think it was chikara a week ago and with his blog.
RESPONSE FROM KE: Yes, I said it has been out there a couple days. That doesn't mean that everyone has seen in.

This is an odd statement to make -- "my goal is to garner as much interest in independent wrestling over the next 90 days as I possibly can. -- unless WWE told him that they plan to rehire him in the near future, and they just need the heat to blow over for the time being.
Personally, I'd expect to see Bryan Daniel return to WWE in 75 days or so.

The more I learn, see, and read of Danielson, the more I see him as not only an awesome talent, but an awesome guy as well.

I don't think he's been kissing WWE's butt at all, unless you've seen something I haven't.
I did see the Chikara promo, in which he basically said that if people were interested in PG wrestling, nobody does it better than Chikara. And that's true, because in that promotion everything's PG. The wrestlers don't use any obscenities in their promos, and even the fans try to keep things PG. I read about a time when one guy tried to start a "Holy s***!" chant, and the whole crowd began chanting "Shut the heck up! *clap clap CLAPCLAPCLAP*" at him. They also chant "Holy poop! Holy poop!" when the situation calls for a "Holy s***!" chant. It's either funny or lame, depending on how you see things. Regardless, there's some great talent in that promotion, and the clips I've seen have often been pretty funny, like this one:

Anyway, my point is that Danielson being PG in Chikara has nothing to do with him trying to please WWE; everybody's PG in Chikara.
As for the NON-PG promotions, Ring Of Honor is going to be coming back to the Toronto area in November, and if Danielson's with them at that time then I will finally have a chance to not only see him wrestle and be booked properly, but I'll also get to participate in possibly the best chant of all time, directed at Danielson's opponent:
"YOU'RE gonna GET your F***-ing HEAD kicked in! *clap clap clap CLAPCLAP clap clap CLAPCLAPCLAP* YOU'RE gonna GET your F***-ing HEAD kicked in! *clap clap clap CLAPCLAP clap clap CLAPCLAPCLAP*"

When you weigh what Danielson did against what goes on in any given WWE show, you have to figure there is more behind this story than we know. My guess is someone had an axe to grind with Danielson, or some truly insecure person was trying to show off their power in the company.
Either way, it makes WWE look like a bunch of two-faced fools. If the way Danielson was misused on NXT was any indication of his future in WWE, he is better off entertaining wrestling fans elsewhere...where his skills will be truly appreciated.

I think that why Desmond Wolf chose TNA and you heard Brian Kendrick say that there are lot of back stabbers in the WWE.

It's at this point that you have to consider quality of life over money.
Bryan Danielson in the WWE may temporarily mean more samolians in his pocket, but they're going to inevitably have to use him as a bump machine a la Rey Rey, so he'll have no choice but to embrace performance enhancers / painkillers to ward off injury. He's too small to be used for anything else, as there are very few performers who he can have a credible program with without being the underdog time and time again. Add to that the bury factor that he'll have to go through, as Creative won't consistently push him over their already-established stars. You already know that he's going to have to face Cena if he comes back, and it's elementary that he'll fall prey to the 5 Moves of Doom to receive his comeuppance.
Unless he's going to move more merch than those guys, it may be the better career move to stick with the indies & Japan, unless he enjoys having matches stopped on cuts every other night.
So Daniel Bryan, unless the payoff is an offer that you just can't refuse, I implore you to stay away. Do not allow Vincent K. to make one more dime at your expense. Stay away from TNA too, they're a mess and your credibility can only be hurt by going there. If you are successful in your mission, we will still enjoy your indie stuff, it's all over the internet anyway. You can kick someone's F'ing head in without fear of diva interference, tadpole splashes, blood stoppages or getting legitimately buried by announcers. You will forever enjoy status along with Steve Borden as 'the ones who got away'.
Here's to you making the right choice for yourself and your family.

K.E. the Raw GM is Stone Cold Steve Austin.

I don't know. It's a friggin mess. I don't think that Danielson can say he wasn't aware of the ruling on choking. Hell, I knew that chokes were banned after the Benoit incident. If a guy like me knows that, than surely a wrestler is aware of the ruling.
Whether he returns to WWE or not, that's moot. He'll land on his feet because he is a fantastic worker. I just wonder what the plans were for him in regards to this NXT faction-takeover.

Wow, I guess I have been a casual fan for the last few years but I had no idea about the banning of chokes and other PG stuff beyond removing chairs and blood.
The part where he choked Justin with his tie and spitting in Cena's face were my favorite and most memorable parts of the initial "Nexus Takeover". I was totally bummed when they took those parts out of the re-air and had no idea why until now...

If anyone hasn't already seen it, Danielson's CHIKARA promo can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbRcareF2uc
Now for me, that doesn't equate to "kissing anyone's butt" - it's simply Danielson saying that PG doesn't have to mean midgets and comedy skits, it can just as easily be two guys giving their all in an athletic competition.
Having been lucky enough to see Bryan wrestle in the independents recently, I think it could be the case that he will be re-hired by the WWE sooner rather than later, and they will use the footage from his time outside of the WWE to build him back to a triumphant return.
The more I look at the situation, the more I see a kind of wrestling "Rocky Balboa" story going on - the self-made man vs. the mighty corporations. Bryan's entire appeal is that he can be easily identified with - as a person he's not too different from any fan out there, with the exception that he made the decision to follow his dream. He built his reputation through his own dedication and hard work, starting at the bottom, paying his dues and working his way up the ladder (which is of course the polar opposite of the way many WWE stars are made nowadays).
