CM Punk out with injury
CM Punk underwent surgery to repair an arm injury last week and is expected to be out of action for four to eight weeks, according to a report on pwinsider.com that cited backstage sources.
The report said that Punk, who appeared at Tuesday night’s Smackdown taping with his arm in a sling, had been working with the arm injury for at least a few weeks.
Punk, perhaps Smackdown’s best all-around performer, being unable to wrestle is a tough blow. Hopefully he will have a speedy recovery.

At least he'll be able to grow his hair back. The mask was getting a little old. I liked Kurt Angle's wig better.

I'm not sure to be happy or sad on this one due to the way he was being booked...

I wonder if he'll have to take any painkillers after that surgery... could be an interesting shoot twist in the Straight-Edge storyline.

another comment about monday's Nexus beat-down. Cena has been preaching that ALL wwe superstars align against this invasion. if this were the case, why wouldn't all of them come to the aid of the hofers. wwe wouldn't suspend the entire roster.

With Punk out as an in-ring performer, this may give the opportunity to Gallows and Masked Man to shine in the ring for SES. Punk can certainly talk for the group with Gallows taking on Kane and so forth. Gallows had a great showing against the Undertaker back when he was mentally challenged.

That blows. If he's had this for a while I wish he'd gotten it taken care of sooner. Then maybe he wouldn't need a month to recover.

He'll probably just brag about how he is able to deal with the pain without pain killers because he is straight edge and better than you. Love it!
Punk is one guy who does not have to wrestle to make the show better because of his awesome gimmick and mike skills.

Did Mysterio break his arm, just like he broke Undertaker's nose?

Love the idea of Punk coming out with painkillers. That is one thin Smackdown roster now. You've got to hand it to Punk, through the odd bookings and occasional stays in the doghouse, he continues to shine as a fresh character.

I thought Undertaker was dying and now he marries Michelle McCool? Can't wait for Smackdown.

This may explain those botched GTS attempts on Kane.

Nevermind post surgery painkillers, don't forget about the anesthesia they would have given him during surgery.

off topic, but just saw a great headline: "Ehrlich selects Kane as his running mate"

I have never interpreted Punk as against painkillers or prescription medication. He has always said "abusing" those things. Meaning, not being to come off of them or taking more than the prescribed dosage.

Punk is straight edge in real life unlike Luke and Serena, they wouldn't have a storyline where punk takes drugs. And he refused to take anything after fracturing his skull, so show the man some respect.

Not sure if anyone has suggested this before or if is has been discussed; but does anyone think the masked member of the SES is Luke Gallows former tag team partner Jesse?

@ The Mythical one : Jesse was released on april 22nd, along with 5 others
@ Eric : So did I.
By the way, hi everyone, first post here
