« Edge orders another round of spears on Smackdown | Main | Five scenarios for TNA Impact's first five minutes »

March 6, 2010

Psst, did you hear about the first five minutes of this Monday’s TNA Impact?

TNA has put up a video on YouTube teasing that a big angle will take place during the first five minutes of Monday’s Impact.

The video is pretty funny and it’s a clever way to stoke fans’ curiosity. I just hope that TNA delivers something spectacular after the buildup.

RVD?

Hey Kev, nice video.
Totally unrelated question, but last year towards the build to WrestleMania 25 you had a great countdown of the top 25 WM Stars. Any kind of countdown, list or theme posts we can expect from you this year before the big event?

RESPONSE FROM KE: Wasn't planning on one.

TNA is just being modest. Knowing them, 10 angles will materialize within the first five minutes of that broadcast.

NOW LET'S GO TO THE BACK!!!!

The first 5 minutes:
-Cue the pyros
-Publicly release anyone with wrestling talent that still remains on their roster.
-Announce sale of Ho'gans HOF ring replcas on TNA site
-BtLS backstage interview
-Reveal new show open

I hate this for the simple reason that this commercial seems to condone cell phone usage in the bathroom.

That's just disgusting.

My guess:

Barry Horowitz is revealed as the new executive shareholder.

A - the video was NOT funny, in any way
B - other than Vince himself being on Impact, what could be that interesting?

That is clever, but if its about Sting I'm not going to be happy.

Let me guess: Lex Luger's going to show up on Impact, isn't he?

At least TNA might win the ratings war for the first 5 minutes of Monday Night Wars.. then everyone is going to flip over to Raw.

"I can not reveal my sources"

Sounds like a typical rumour site!!!

So it will probably amount to nothing.

To cut costs they are going to now use a 3-sided traingle ring...but still call it the squared circle.

I wish TNA would use Jeremy Borash more. I've never heard him call a match, but I suspect that he'd be at least better then Mike Tenay.

Anyway, whatever this is, it's sure to disappoint. Maybe they were talking about the first five minutes of 24....

Maybe it will be Shane McMahon...

This is lame. Really lame. And not funny at all. I'm guessing that six minutes into Impact, the general thought will be, "Is that it?"
