Report: Chris Jericho, ‘Hurricane’ Helms arrested
WWE stars Chris Jericho and Gregory “Hurricane” Helms were arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place early Wednesday morning after an incident at a Kentucky gas station following Tuesday night’s Smackdown/ECW tapings, TMZ.com reported.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Jericho and Helms were among a group of people in a taxi cab when things allegedly got violent around 4 a.m. Helms allegedly struck Jericho and two other people – a man named Gary Kelley and a female passenger named Ashley Storer.
Both Helms and Jericho were released on $120 bond. Police told TMZ that Helms was not charged for the alleged attack because none of the three alleged victims opted to pressed charges.
As a matter of full disclosure, I worked with Helms in WCW in 2000-2001 and have been with him in social settings.

Too bad Paul Burchill has been moved off ECW. He would finally have the evidence that Helms really is the Hurricane! BTW, Helms and Jericho both looked sober in the ring on Tuesday night...

Doesn't sound to serious. Unless some info we don't know about yet comes out

Storer should have done the job but we all know Jericho did it to put Helms over.

I wonder how this will affect Linda McMahon's senate campaign?

So, is he a good guy, or a trouble maker, for my full disclosure entertainment?
RESPONSE FROM KE: Always been a good guy whenever I've been with him.

$120 bond? WOW I need to go to KY and get drunk and pulled over - that is just a slap on the wrist .. wonder if WWE will punish them in any way .. especially this close to Royal Rumble and Wrestle Mania . how can they even think of doing something to Jericho and if they fire or suspend Helms but not Jericho something is seriously wrong .. wonder if it was just a "hey we made a mistake you should have never been arrested but let us save face so we dont look stupid here is $120 bond for each of you - btw can i have your autograph for my son"
RESPONSE FROM KE: I thought at first $120 was a typo

Hey Kev, i dont know if the new picture does you any favors, its even worse than the old one. At least you looked younger in the other one.

Sounds like great new material for the Straight Edge Society to work with!

It's now being reported that Matt Hardy was the fifth person in that cab. I don't see what the big deal is, it's obvious the guys were just practicing for The Royal Rumble (in the confines of a cab) which is just days away.
Right?
You say misdemeanor, I say dedication!

if you are reporting news that you got from TMZ, why do you have to put a sentence at the end saying you have been out with hurricane in a social atmosphere?
came across as bragging to me.
RESPONSE FROM KE: It's a matter of ethics. When a journalist reports a story on someone that he has had interaction with beyond a professional relationship -- especially as it relates to the nature of the story -- it is incumbent on the journalist to be transparent. Even though it's TMZ's report, the story appears on my blog. If I just do a standard interview with someone that I know, it's not worth mentioning. When that person is arrested, however, it is.

The rule on this site is we dont start gossip or rumors - but we sure do spread them! Now Kev, Helms I thought had the reputation as a Casanova - been seen with dollies Angelina Love & Nidia ... has this been an issue with any of the other wrestlers you know of?
RESPONSE FROM KE: This isn't gossip or a rumor.

Kev.. First things first... Nice hair-cut!!! :)) I do remember u saying that u will update a more recent mug-shot.... and good to see that ur a man of ur word!!!
Ok.. now onto more important things.... could this possibly affect Jericho's chances at the Rumble??? Esp if Edge's return is still uncertain........
Also... this could play so beautifully into CM Punk and Straight-Edge society and set up a program for WM.... that would cover both CM and Jericho who dont have apparent programs right now...

The $120 is for being released from jail. If found guilty, there would probably be harsher penalties.

I feel as if this story is more stale than HHH in the WWE title picture. A man who is a professional wrestler, lead singer in a rock band, and an author gets drunk and arrested for it. Dang, that's surprising.
Helms is now changing his gimmick from the Hurricane to Captain Obvious.

"As a matter of full disclosure, I worked with Helms in WCW in 2000-2001 and have been with him in social settings."
"...and I didn't get MY mugshot posted on TMZ.com. What's so special about Chris friggin Jericho?! I'll party that guy under the table any day!"
Posted by: Bignasty247 | January 29, 2010 3:18 AM
Well, to be fair, Helms did tell them to stand back.

Kevin,
From your new photo, it appears you have now turned face whereas you were surely a heel in the old pic!

I am the best in the world at what I do...and by "what I do" I mean getting drunk in public and fighting.

They were arrested for public intoxication people. They were not driving a vehicle when they got pulled over. I have to give them credit for being responsible enough to not get behind the wheel and drive. They were doing what most of us do at one time or another, toss back a few cold ones after a days work. It's not like they pulled a Donte Stallworth or anything. Geez....
