Hilarious Randy Orton video talking about arrests of Jericho, Helms
TMZ strikes again. The Web site caught up with Randy Orton at an airport and asked for his thoughts on Chris Jericho and Gregory "Hurricane" Helms getting arrested Wednesday. Orton's total no-sell and sarcasm had me laughing out loud.
I commend Orton for handling the situation the way he did. Losing his cool with the TMZ guys would not have been a good move.

Comments
This whole arrest thing is a non-issue. TMZ spoke to the woman that was hit, and she said it was because she was sitting in the middle of Jericho and Helms and accidentally elbowed. Also said Matt Hardy was completely sober.
But Randy was awesome here, and him saying wrestlers don't get in trouble is classic.

Is it possible we just witness Randy Orton go viper? I think Michael Cole just crapped himself... no Vintage Orton there.

Definitely handled that well, LOL.

"WWE Wrestlers are like angels sent from above, and would never do anything to embarrass Vince McMahon and his billion dollar empire on the heels of his old lady's senate campaign. Now pardon me while I go punt a handicapped kid in the head."
--I love how Orton refuses to believe Jericho was arrested, but then when the name Helms came up his demeanor changed and he gave this look as if to say 'well, then you're probably right'.

Nice to see that a guy who is a total tool when he's in character can display a little class when he's not. Seems he's grown up a bit after his younger troubles.

I have never been prouder to be part of the WWE Universe! Count me as a huge Orton mark!!

Deep down, he's probably relieved that he's not the only one in trouble lately!
Is the ridiculous travel schedule a culprit behind all of this silly behaviour as of late? Although Randy was being sarcastic here, he was right: these guys do represent the company, in or out of the ring. I'd hate to see someone lose their job over acting so stupidly.

He did very well not to get baited into something bad there. Good for Randy. When will the face turn come???????

I'm surprised that TMZ didn't follow Randy into the bathroom. It seems like they are everyplace else.

There is no way I would've taken a minute to watch that video anywhere else, but yes, I agree, that was worth a minute of my time. LOL, great punchline!
Thanks for posting.

It was funny when he lifted his sun glasses up to look at the guy. "Do you think the WWE guys are the new Rock n' Roll guys?" That has to be the stupidest question ever.

Hilarious...I guess this whole thing is simply going to blow over with out any major repercussions. It's all just a bit of a hurricane in a teacup.

Is that Randy Orton or Maverick from Top Gun?

Wrestlers might not get into trouble but Sports Entertainers do.

There are few things I loathe more than "celebrity culture" as exemplified by garbage like TMZ and the mouthbreathers who crowd celebrity scandal sites, salivating over gossip... they're the bottom of life's barrel.
Randy Orton rules. What a brilliant, snide non-answer. Ladies and Gentlemen, your 2009 Wrestler of the Year.... the viper!

Wow! Just when I thought I couldn't love RKO any more than I already do, he pulls this rabbit out of his hat. Too f'n funny!

Did anyone else notice how much credibility the name "TMZ" had with Randy Orton at the end there? I don't watch their programming myself, but I will say TMZ has been very good to the wrestling business!
I remember the "Death Grip" program on CNN, TMZ.com was the first media outlet presenting Cena's rebuttal. Without them, I doubt CNN ever would have flinched (they did change the program for its replay).
I was glad to see Randy Orton didn't close with a snide remark to bury TMZ, so they will continue to cover WWE Superstars as "rock stars" in the future.

Ah, that was great. "I'm just going to use the restroom, are you coming in with me"?
Orton, you're a genius!
