Bret Hart comments on current relationship with Shawn Michaels

Even though the hug between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels on Raw Jan. 4 looked a bit forced, Hart said on his Facebook page that he and Michaels have legitimately buried the hatchet after 12 years of hard feelings.

On Thursday night, Hart posted the following:

“It's worth mentioning that although I did see Shawn earlier in the afternoon in the cafeteria, our in-ring face-off was unrehearsed and heartfelt on both sides and I can finally say that Shawn and I have finally made peace in what has been a long, draining, and sometimes pointless war of personalities. As for everything else that happened, on one hand, I finally found some closure. On the other hand, as far as Vince McMahon goes, I haven't closed anything at all. I have a lot of friends in a lot of places and we'll just have to see what happens next.”

If Hart’s comments about Michaels are a shoot, I think it’s great that they have finally found closure. I also commend Hart for acknowledging that the real-life feud between he and Michaels was “sometimes pointless.”

I say “if the comments are a shoot” because Hart clearly is in work mode when discussing McMahon. He and McMahon made amends to some extent several years ago, and his last sentence about “having friends in high places and seeing “what happens next” obviously furthers their angle.

Bret Hart, the next member of DX.

Perhaps he will bring back Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart to drop his belly on McMahon like he did to Black Machismo?

Who do you think are Bret's friends in high places????

If the interaction between them in the ring was unrehearsed, it says volumes about their ability to just go out and do this when the lights are up. Impressive.

"our in-ring face-off was unrehearsed"

That was a pretty gutsy move... Who knows if one of them could've cracked and sucker-punched the other guy.

Either way, I'm very happy that they're finally at peace. Two great performers such as them shouldn't be remembered for such an ugly event.

I AM A HUGE BRET HART FAN.I REALLY ENJOYED SEEING HIM BACK IN WWE.A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED HE WASN'T ON CAMERA THAT MUCH. WILL HE BE BACK OR WAS THAT HIS SWAN SONG.

RESPONSE FROM KE: He will be back. He is signed with WWE through mid-April.

I always thought if Bret and Shawn buried the hatchet, said hatchet would end up in Shawn's head. *lol*

Wow. I am so happy for the both of them and I am really pleased to hear that it was basically the two of them saying what they had to say from the heart. I know if I was in Shawn's shoes, walking down that ramp would have been the longest walk of my life. But the way the two of them just spoke....it was unbelievable. Yes the hug looked awkward but I don't think Bret expected it. I really hope the story the writers (and Bret) put together will be one for the ages. So glad to have the Hitman back and smiling. (This coming from the biggest Shawn mark the world over.)

I am also a huge Bret Hart fan. I was kind of hoping to see Bret give the sharpshooter to either HBK or McMahon lol.

Bret total sellout.

If you take a good look at Shawn's face as he walked towards the ring, you can easily tell that it WAS the longest walk of his life. I have no doubt the whole ring encounter was the real thing.....

Watch for a Hart v VKM match, then the HBK turn on Hart.

So is Bret going to wrestle? It looks like the Vince-Brett match at Wrestlemania could be in the works.

i am very happy to see brethart back in action all thanks to mr mcmahon now as bret as buried a hatchet with shawn i know he must have done that with vince also but only to make next wrestle mania intresting vince kicked bret just to make street fight between both of them

just wondering...didn't Bret get an ins. settlement yrs. ago because he is unable to ever wrestle again? If so, how will he be able to wrestle then?

For 12 years,we've heard about the "screw-job"..for 12 years the WWE has kept this story alive...as a huge HBK mark..I'm glad it's DONE...now can we move to the present...I hope that HBK is the one to end the streak..after all HBK is "Mr. Wrestle-mania"

wow I missed that episode but will watch it on youtube soon, I have never seen Bret Heart wrestling but he is one of my favorite since i use to pick him in my video game in my childhood days :)

I luv bret from the bottom of my heart and would luv 2 c him kick vince's butt good time

I was really happy whaen I saw both of them r friends and will remain the same.but it was unbeliveable for me to see.but really its good.they will be the winner
