Poll: What will you be watching Monday night?
This Monday, there will be a head-to-head battle on television between two wrestling companies, one featuring Bret Hart, Vince McMahon and DX, and the other featuring Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and possibly Scott Hall.
What a way to usher in 1998, I mean 2010.

I'll be watching Raw. I might catch the replay of TNA the following Thursday, assuming I even remember about it.

For the first time in a long time, I am looking forward to Raw. I don't care if Impact has Hogan, Hall, Buff Bagwell, Lex Luger, Stevie Ray, Disco Inferno, Dennis Rodman, and Vincent. One show has a storyline twelve years in the making; the other has a storyline made twelve years ago.

you forgot about stiener!

Watching Raw and DVR-ing Impact.
Posted by: Bill Drain | December 31, 2009 10:03 PM
I'll be watching RAW. TNA is much like the USFL or XFL.

Kev we need one more choice, watching by flipping back & forth and recording on the DVR, that is the most probable true fan response. Who isn't going to, at the very least flip during commercials (or Hornswaggle appearances),and why risk having to miss something good when you can record both on the DVR and watch later? Happy New Year!

Can't wait for Glacier to debut

agree 100% But if Horace Boulder shows up Raw will be recorded.

I was going to watch TNA for the first time, but then WWE got serious and this Raw looks amazing, so I will be watching Raw and maybe flipping over to TNA, but I already flip back and forth between Raw and Lie to Me.

Bret Hart...The greatest technical wrestler of all time. The Pink and Black Attack. The best there is...the best there was....the best there ever will be. The Excellence of Execution. I'm excited for Monday Night Raw for the first time in years.
Posted by: travis | January 1, 2010 12:24 AM
I am very, very excited for both. And although I will be DVRing both shows I might actually try to view them live to see what the whole fuss is about. I got a feeling TNA will deliver the goods and WWE will only bank on the Hitman while everything else crumbles.

Watching Raw, might flip to Impact if I remember (though I probably won't).
Posted by: Michael in Virginia | January 1, 2010 2:49 AM
I'll be recording them both and watching them the next day, but if I were to chose one, I'd watch TNA just to help their ratings, maybe scare WWE a lil bit, and force them to improve their product

Thank you for the 1998 remark. And I thought fans wanted to see new, young talent.
Posted by: Pat Coyne | January 1, 2010 3:57 AM
neither.. thanks to the commercial free web
Posted by: Mike L | January 1, 2010 4:25 AM
Hogan on TNA. Beginning of the end for the company. WCW had a good run, brought this guy in and his selfish ways killed the company, along with Nash, and Hall. Sorry Jeff, Dixie just destroyed the company you built from the ground up!
With that being said, I'll be watching the Excellence of Execution, DX and JeriShow.
With Kip James being released, and I think Road Dogg is a free agent, why not bring back the New Age Outlaws? Perfect storyline with the current version of DX
Posted by: Steve | January 1, 2010 6:48 AM
something think about both Spike and USA network have had spots for their competitors, I think Vince has his hand in TNA
Posted by: Rick | January 1, 2010 7:52 AM
I'll wach TNA and record RAW. On TNA there is actual "catch-as-catch-can" wrestling (Gordon Solie, RIP). I'm expecting TNA to showcase more of the young stars in Pro Wrestling matches (that would be different from what RAW puts on). I actually think that it's kind of funny that VKM thinks he has to compete with Bret Hart. Despite that some posters say that they don't watch TNA, or won't watch TNA , it is obvious that VKM thinks that they will so he is pulling out an old story that only a Canadian cares about.
Did you see the New Year's Eve 4 hour show yet? It was wonderful with the three best PPV Main Event matches of 2009 and an 8 woman tournament for the #1 contender for the Knockouts Title. Kevin, I know that I'm marking out for the TNA Knockouts more than you mark out for HBK but those girls go at it with a strong style that no Diva could or would ever do, even Beth Phoenix!
Happy New Year to all!

Watching TNA, recording Raw because much like a car wreck, you don't want to look but you can't help look as you pass by.
The one thing I have learned being a wrestling fan is: companies never learn from mistakes of their predecessors.
Hogan and his cronies will sink the ship and in 2012 we will "graced" with the HULKSTER's WWE "Fairwell" Tour

If the fans of a msart-mark, hardcore wrestling-oriented blog are mostly voting for raw, then what help does that give impact with the general public and the casual fans? I predict a slaughter.

Also this article I read from Eric Bischoff's blog is interesting. I don't agree with everything he says but I am surprised by how much sense he talks:

Brett Hart's return, hands down, is THE most intriguing of any story EVER! Even more than Stone Cold coming back after his riff with Vince a few years back. TNA can wait. Heroes will be DVRed Monday.
Posted by: CDL | January 1, 2010 10:08 AM
I will probably be swithcing back & forth figuring at a 70% impact 30% Raw because i figure Impact will have more actual wrestling which I enjoy more than the soap opera's if i wanted to watch that I would watch Days of our lives but anyway and that coupled with the fact I can watch raw on Universal Sat nite or sunday afternoon on NBC cable affilates that replay the whole show. although the first hour of Impact I will probably DVR because i wont be home in time watch it because of work Hope you had a good new years Kev.
Posted by: frank from dundalk | January 1, 2010 10:14 AM
My plan is to watch Impact from 8-9, then watch Raw live from 9-11 while I DVR Impact and then go back and watch Impact. It's going to be a late night, but I haven't been this excited for Monday night wrestling in a decade!

This is the first time I´m looking forward to RAW since well I don´t know when. I´m no Bret fan but I´m really interested what they wanna do with him.
Oh and besides Bret being the guest host, Cena won´t be on the show, right? Should be an awesome RAW.
Posted by: XDreamItchy | January 1, 2010 1:54 PM
Living in Australia, I am lucky I don't have to choose they are on the same channel here, but I do need to wait until Saturday for the TNA ep to be shown and Wednesday for Raw, but the simple fact is if I had to make the choice it would be Raw. Hart makes it compelling viewing, TNA not so much.
Posted by: Angelique | January 1, 2010 2:06 PM
I'll be watching TNA for the fact that it hasn't disappointed me like RAW usually does.
Posted by: Leon | January 1, 2010 2:27 PM
Does anyone know if TNA is airing their live iMPACT! in the UK, and if so, on what channel?
Posted by: Legacy.1 | January 1, 2010 2:45 PM
I wasn't too bothered about watching Raw and I was actually more excited about TNA because of Hogan, but as soon as I heard the Hitman would be hosting, I changed my mind straight away.I can't wait to see how Michaels and Hart interact with each other. Hopefully it'll be a keeper.

Breaking News: Ultimo Dragon is joining World Elite!
Posted by: DK | January 1, 2010 5:12 PM
Believe TNA starts at 8, so the 1st hour will be there, then to Raw at 9.
Unless Hart comes out on TNA at 8:55.

This is the first time i've ever been happy that we in Australia get both shows on a bit of a delay.
We get Raw on a Wednesday afternoon and Impact on a Saturday night.
Normally i'll record and watch Impact every week and perhaps see bits of the replays from that week's Raw and Smackdown but this coming week i'll definitely watch both Impact and Raw intently.
Posted by: John | January 1, 2010 8:37 PM
Watching Raw DVR TNA
Posted by: Patrick Johnson | January 1, 2010 9:06 PM
Scott Hall falling down drunk would make for good comedy... If it wasn't so damn pathedic!!
Posted by: Hank from RI | January 1, 2010 9:25 PM
Its like 1997 all over again!!!!.....wait...no its not. But Raw will most likely be on my television set a greater amount come Monday.
Posted by: Dan | January 1, 2010 9:42 PM
TNA. I really don't care about either company's feeble attempts to relive the late 90's, but I feel that TNA will deliver a stronger overall product, as they have done on a regular basis over the last couple months.
And were Hart and McMahon ever actual on-screen characters at the same time in the WWF?
Posted by: Joe | January 2, 2010 12:10 AM
TNA again makes no sense to me, why have a live show on Monday when they are going to replay on Thursday, if anything good happens, I just can wait til Thursday to watch it. When RAW airs there is no replays.
Posted by: Ed Force One | January 2, 2010 2:36 AM
I will definately be watching Raw. Hogan is going to screw over TNA and make so many changes that it won't matter if TNA is moved to Monday nights. With Bret Hart coming back I really have something to look forward to. I have always been a huge fan of Bret's. Hulk Hogan is just an after thought to me.
Posted by: Dave | January 2, 2010 10:11 AM
I remember the Monday night wars of years gone by. When WCW Nitro was on TBS I could watch that and than flip to RAW afterwards.
Now I will be watching TNA and recording RAW. I prefer wrestling over sports entertainment.
Posted by: Dale | January 2, 2010 10:54 AM
i'll be watching tna and coming back to raw. I wanna see the wrestler's to make there debut on tna and see the young bucks in action
Posted by: stanley | January 2, 2010 12:18 PM
The only way to watch these shows is to pre-record them so the annoying long commercials and unnecessary recaps and gabfests can be fast-forwarded. PUH-LEEZE, no more Hornswoggle/DX sketches.
Posted by: Jeff | January 2, 2010 2:04 PM
I'll be switching channels, but expect to spend more time with TNA. I am curious to see what WWE will do with Bret Hart, but RAW has been so bad the past few months there really isn't anything else that has me excited. TNA should be a lot of fun, especially with the possible return of Rob Van Dam, along with Hogan and Scott Hall.
Posted by: Larry | January 3, 2010 12:06 AM
Being in the uk I don't really have to choose between the two but if I had to I would choose RAW.
In my opinion TNA will do everything they can to put on a great show from start to finish and I am hoping they don't just dedicate the whole show to Hogan but showcase the great talent already there as well as throw in some surprises.
RAW however will be great to watch when Bret and Shawn meet each other but will be mostly its usual programming aimed at 5 year old kids.
In other words TNA will have more must see moments. I just hope people aren't loyal to Vince McMahon for no good reason, if they just give TNA a chance then it will be good for every wrestling fan.
Anyone interested might want to read this interview with Hogan, he almost says he won't do any wrestling and there are a few interesting comments in there.

Am I the only one that has called TNA's show "Nitro" so many times that I don't even bother correcting myself anymore?
Posted by: Mr. Sarcasm | January 4, 2010 11:24 AM
TNA again makes no sense to me, why have a live show on Monday when they are going to replay on Thursday?
I thought the same thing for the longest time until I realized that most of the WWE viewers are more likely to flip to TNA during commercial breaks whereas on Thursday, WWE fans are not going out of their way to watch the show.
I think this Monday show will post ratings higher than their Thursday average. Then, the Thursday replay can be abysmal.
Posted by: Mr. Sarcasm | January 4, 2010 11:34 AM
Please, is there any question about this? Have to watch the return of Bret the Hitman Hart. As someone said above, this storyline has been in the making for over a decade. It's gonna get ugly tonight folks. As for TNA, once again, they managed to score one of the WWE's sloppy seconds. Albeit, one of their biggest sloppy seconds, but I think Hitman can give us a better show than Hogan at this point.

Torrenting both

i watched tna fabulous show--rawis so predictable and boring if i watch any wwe show it would be smackdown with the undertaker wish tna would get taker on their show vince is on a downhill slide
