Hell in a Cell preview
Predictions for tonight’s WWE pay-per-view:
HELL IN A CELL MATCHES
World heavyweight champion CM Punk vs. The Undertaker: I think it would be a mistake to take the belt off Punk at this point, but I believe that is what’s going to happen.
WWE champion John Cena vs. Randy Orton: This result of this one will be interesting because neither man has a logical opponent if this indeed is the blow-off match to their program. I’m going to take a wild guess and go with Orton to regain the title, possibly with some help from Legacy.
DX vs. Legacy: Shawn Michaels and Triple H have done a very good job of elevating Ted DiBiase Jr. and Cody Rhodes recently, including putting them over in a Submissions Count Anywhere Match three weeks ago at the Breaking Point pay-per-view. However, I’ll be very surprised if DX doesn’t win this time.
OTHER MATCHES
Undisputed WWE tag team champions Chris Jericho and The Big Show vs. Batista and Rey Mysterio: Jericho and Mysterio have great chemistry as opponents, so hopefully they will be in the ring against each other for a good part of the match. I don’t see Jericho and Big Show losing the title yet.
Intercontinental champion John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler: I have high expectations for this one. After some near misses against Rey Mysterio when he was IC champion, Ziggler finally wins the title.
U.S. champion Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger in a triple threat match: I have a hunch The Miz is going to come out of this match with the title belt. By that I mean that I think he will win the championship, not just steal the belt and run off.
WWE Divas champion Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox: Fox has athleticism and charisma, but she is still a work in progress in the ring. I think James retains the title.
Drew McIntyre vs. R-Truth: This was a late addition to the card. It’s nice to see R-Truth on a pay-per-view for a change, but I don’t like his chances against McIntyre, who looks as if he is going to be getting a big push.

I'm not ordering this ppv as I don't think it looks very strong. However I am interested as how the multiple hell in a cell matches are gonna be received. I think orton is going to regain the title as I can think of more challengers for him with the title that cena if this is the end of their feud (which I hope). I am slightly confused as to y ziggler didn't win the title from mysterio rather than morrison. I read in a mag that mysterio refused to drop the title to ziggler. Do u know if there's any truth in that? As it would have been logical for ziggler to win the belt off him after they were the 2 in the feud. Morrison winning it was random. Isn't it quite strange for mcintyre to be on a ppv so soon. Has he even had a match on tv yet??

kevin as you mentioned that cena and orton dont have any logical opponents after their hell in a cell match...i cannot help but think triple h will get back in the title picture...
raw does not have anybody prepared for a title match be it against cena or orton...
batista has gone to sd..i dont c the mvps and swaggers of the world to get that status until triple h hangs around..
seriously even 15-20 years down the line i could c a 60 year old triple h winning world titles...
btw kev...who do u think should get the opportunity..?

Batista n mysterio there is where i think you are wrong they are good buddies they should not go against each other cause it would not be a good match cause they would not want to hurt each other.
RESPONSE FROM KE: Huh?

No matter what the result of the WWE title match, Randy Orton desparately needs a new opponent, in the last i think years worth of PPV's he has only been in the ring with HHH, Cena,Batista and the McMahons, You cant keep recycling the same opponents for Orton and expect him to be a killer heal, The Legend Killer gimmick worked well i thought when he was presented with legend after legends( Jake Roberts, Sgt.Slaughter,Harley Race,Ric Flair,Mick Foley, etc, etc)
Kevin who do you see as the next logical opponent for Orton"? Dibiase( assuming a face turn), ???

Hello Kev My tips are
1 Undertaker
2 Cena
3 DX
4 Batista and Rey
5 John Morrison
6 Jack Swagger
7 Mickie James
8 R Truth
Should be a good PPV

Agree with most of your predictions.
I actually think Punk will win with another 'conspiracy' helping him to keep that storyline going.
Orton will probably win...but that means Cena gets a rematch at the next PPV
DX will win without a doubt as will Jerishow...dont see them dropping the belts to an injury prone guy and a guy just back from suspension.
I think Morrison will win and Ziggler will wait until a higher profile PPV (Survivor Series) to get the title that way Morrison will get more credibility when he goes for his main event push..
I think Miz will win, Swagger is a longshot especially after Friday night's appearance (i imagine he already knew at that point which may be why he took the headset off and just sat there)
Also agree that Fox is a work in progress and McIntyre will definetly win since he's Vince's guy and R-Truth is a low mid-carder at this point

I believe that Punk will have another controversial win.
As much as I want to see Cena lose the title, I'm going with him because I don't see WWE giving him another short title reign.
I don't think DX will job to Legacy again, so I'm picking them to win.
I believe that it's finally time for Dolph Ziggler to shine so I predict he'll finally add another title to his tag title reign from 3 years ago when he was with the Spirit Squad.
I know most people are picking Swagger or the Miz to win tonight, but I think Kofi will hold onto the title for at least a little longer.
Mickie will win because I don't see Alicia Fox holding on to a title. Whatever happened to DJ Gabriel?
WWE should have put a ECW title match here instead, but I'm going with McIntyre beating R-Truth. Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless he was in the Royal Rumble, this is R-Truth's first PPV match since he returned to WWE.

It's going to be very interesting to see what Raw comes up with for the WWE title. There are no heels ready to face Cena, and I hate seeing the 3 week title reign. I would be excited to see Mark Henry and MVP move into the main event spotlight, considering they are about the closest thing Raw has at this point.

Just getting my predictions in under the wire (not that I'm watching the PPV)....
I really don't think the Undertaker is a viable champion any more, if his health is as poor as they say. Haven't they had to cut short his last two championship runs because of injury? I don't think they will take that risk again.
Everything points to Orton beating Cena, but it's John Cena we're talking about, who seems to trump any logical rules about momentum and putting over the guy that just put you over (no wonder he's so passionate about the business...). I really think they need to use these two to elevate some guys after this, as the main event program on Raw is just a trainwreck now. How about Cena/Swagger or Orton/Kofi?
Mysterio is doing the job tonight, no doubt. I would not rule out a heel turn, either.

Looks like I was wrong about the result for the U.S. title match. I also thought that Ziggler would win the IC title, and it surprised me that he didn't. What is the point of putting Ziggler on PPV after PPV competing for the IC strap if he never wins even once? What's it been, three straight losses now? Do they WANT to kill his momentum?
