Raw rating takes a hit from NFL
There’s an old saying: When the leaves turn brown, the Raw ratings go down. OK, I actually just made that up, but it’s true nonetheless.
This past Monday, Raw did a 3.4 rating, which is its lowest number since implementing the guest host format in late June. Not only was the ratings drop expected, however, but WWE is probably satisfied with the number.
Raw was up against "Monday Night Football," which traditionally has taken viewers away from the show. While that was the case once again, a closer look shows that the Raw rating hasn’t dropped off from where it was before the guest host format began.
Prior to this past Monday’s show, Raw had averaged a 3.7 during the guest host period, including a 3.8 last week. In the eight weeks prior to using guest hosts, it averaged a 3.4 – which is exactly what the show did this week.
Unless a huge mainstream star hosts the show, I’m guessing the 4.0’s and 3.9’s for Raw are going to be over until after the NFL season. But if Raw can maintain a 3.4, I think that’s a good sign.
The NFL almost certainly played a role in TNA Impact posting its lowest rating of the year (0.9) last Thursday, as the show was on opposite the season opener between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans.

I am tempted to call you a dork for that line, except (A) I'm the one that said to my computer screen "that's not a saying" before reading the next line, and (B) I'm still laughing to myself over the entire situation.
So, maybe I can call you a dork with the mutual understanding that it takes one to know one.
Keep up the good work!
RESPONSE FROM KE: It is actually a takeoff on a real saying, but you have to be of a certain age to get it. Thirty years ago, a baseball player named Dave Parker of the Pittsburgh Pirates said, "When the leaves turn brown, I'll be wearing the crown" in regard to the batting title.

Kev what do you think the chances are of us seeing someone like Stone Cold or The Rock as a guest host? I got to be honest I grew up on the WWE but over the past few years I've really become an occasional WWE watcher. I will flip to Raw on Monday Nights briefly during commercials of MNF or another show I'm watching but if they were to have the Rock or Stone Cold host I'd tune in and watch the whole program. I didn't know what your thoughts were on the chances of us seeing one if not both of them being a guest host for just 1 episode. I'm sure the ratings would skyrocket for either of those guys as guest host.
RESPONSE FROM KE: I have a feeling that when The Rock and Steve Austin have movies to promote, they will do Raw.

Fair enough, now I'm trying to determine whether an outdated, regionalize pun would make you more or less of a dork...
Since it was printed on a Northeastern sports-related blog, I think it makes you LESS of a dork as you're helping to keep the past treasures precious, so I revoke my earlier accusation.
Meanwhile, all this faux legalese would likely ensure that "dork" is still a fitting title for me, so my apologies for projecting.

following on what marsh said, you also have the two hour premiere of Heroes as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see a number in the 3.0-3.1 range
