Matt Hardy, Jim Ross comment on Jeff Hardy's arrest
Although he did not mention his brother by name, Matt Hardy made some not-so-veiled references to Jeff Hardy's arrest on drug trafficking charges on his Twitter account.
He wrote: "And remember, innocent until proven guilty" and "It's been a long, stressful day for me.. But, everything will be ok.. Guaranteed. Like Public Enemy said 'Don't Believe The Hype!' "
Jim Ross made the following comments on his blog: "The news of Jeff Hardy's apparent arrest on drug charges is disturbing. I have spoken to no one about this matter and only know what info that I have read that was distributed by the police in North Carolina. I hope that there is better news on this matter forthcoming from Jeff or his attorney. Hopefully, Jeff has retained sufficient counsel to help him address these issues. I know that Jeff Hardy is a good young man with endless talents who finished his stint in WWE in grand fashion. Jeff, as are none of us, isn't perfect and I only hope this matter can be resolved quickly and efficiently so Jeff can move on with his life in a healthy and positive way. Jeff Hardy is innocent until proven guilty as there is likely much more to this matter than we know at this time."

Comments
I saw the comments from Jeff too, but I can't possibly imagine how the media or police are blowing this out of proportion. I suppose he'll argue that he wasn't distributing / dealing, and that they're just for his personal use, but still, it's not like you can claim ignorance or a prescription for hundreds of pills.

I wish Matt spent as much time working on his physical appearance and cardio as he does on Twitter and MySpace.

I believe Jeff is innocent until proven guilty, but it's strange how the storyline of CM Punk/Jeff Hardy kind of reflects on this.
Jeff Hardy needs to stay away from things that can cause him emotional, physical & financial harm.

And in typical fashion, Vince McMahon jumps to conclusions and cancels the Jeff Hardy DVD project.

I can't believe the lies! Jeff getting arrested for something that was an accident is fine, but Jeff getting arrested for something obviously made up? THAT IS THE MOST PATHETIC ACT YET! Jeff Hardy is an innocent man! He has been clean for a while now! Don't drag his name through the mud just cause you think it will get good ratings! and Jeff I hope you well for the future

I've read statements from Jeff, Matt, Jericho and they will have reasons for the Vicodan, the steroids......what will be their explanation for the "residual amount of cocaine" that was found???

Rack it! You hit the nail on the head with that succinct comment, brah.

"And in typical fashion, Vince McMahon jumps to conclusions and cancels the Jeff Hardy DVD project."
Hey, the last time Vince jumped to a conclusion, he had to apologize for praising a murderer.....

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't the insurance companies here in the States only cover a 3 month "portions" of these pills? If that's the case then the amount found is nothing out of the ordinary. And, given his history of injuries the steroids are not a surprise either.
The whole "residual amount" of cocaine can mean a whole lot of things as well. Most of us will have residual amounts of cocaine on us when we have some cash on our person.
Lets just wait and see what the final verdict will be. Technically he's not even a wrestler anymore so why should we, as wrestling fans, really be all up in arms about it.

I wanna make a point here and I think it's valid given what was said about Matt spending way too much time on his Twitter and myspace. I agree and is it me or am I the only person who notices and questions the content of Jeffs Twitter, heres a man who writes the most amazing poetry but is coming over on Twitter to be real illiterate. I compare the typing and sorry but I have my doubts its Jeff even posting yet in comparison the typing and wording although greatly mis spelled is just like Matts. also I do concur innocent until proven guilty. Jeff strikes me as a good guy, often misunderstood and overwhelmingly genuine and nice, too nice. God bless you Jeff, I will always believe in you my friend.

we love you jeff doesnt matter if you are inocent or not we will always love you and miss you a lot

Jon G.S. you chimed in before I could, I read a nurses break down of what someone would be prescribed and I was dumbfounded. Here in Australia we get them on a box by box basis, but over there they need to be given on a 3 month basis. Wow. BTW I always thought it was innocent till proven guilty over in the US.
Also in regards to Matt twittering, how many hours a day do you want him to spend in the gym?? quiet often Matt tweets from his phone these could be from the gym I don't know and nor does anyone besides Matt and possibly "the core"

As a big fan, I hope he's innocent. If not, I'll still be a big fan and hope he gets help. At least it wasn't child molestation, murder, or a violent crime. Being addicted to drugs is horrible but the addiction can be beat if thats what he has. I know. I helped my husband get clean and stay clean.

hi. i hope the people at WWE realise what an intellgent guy jeff hardy is.Everyone is just focusing on his bad points right now meaning they are making hardy look worse than he really is. only the people closest to him really know what kind of shatan is trying to break down jeff.dont let the devil rule your head, let God do the honors of restoring your soul.God bless Jeff

Just another victim in the failed war on drugs. Putting a man in prison for up to 14 years for something that hurt NO ONE but himself is a crime into itself and anyone who supports this should remember that in the end you are just waiting in stupidity for your turn at the hands of the COPS.

Nuro and G.S, 100% right. beat me to the punch. People, even in the states, can get a prescription for hundreds upon hundreds of painkillers. A lot of people are physically unable to go every two weeks to fill their prescriptions, and too, a month or more. LEGAL prescriptions can be purchased through the internet and certain pharmaceutical companies with proper doctor assignment.
Risidual cocain too, can be the amount found on 90% of the money in america. However, if the amount they found was of that same %, they wouldn't have included that. That is like saying everyone person who gets arrested, and has money on them, and the dollars get tested, will be popped for risidual narcotics. I bet it was some kind of baggy, container or packaging with actual usable amounts of coke, but nothing that could be weighed in any "distributable" amount.
on a personal note, i've had police pull me out of my car and find a plastic baggie that used to have marijuana in it (i am a california patient who legally smokes and buys the herb), as well as container/jars (seperate occasions) and pull me out of the vehicle with the excuse that there is "risidual amounts left behind" usable to smoke, before they find out i am a patient.
when push comes to shove, the cops are going to make an arrest. You are either guilty or you are not guilty. no matter what, they will do everything in their power to enforce their need in our society, and make every arrest and potential conviction look as bad as possible.
on a side note (heh), i've watched police charge a person "ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFICERS" x2 for lighting one mini black cat fire cracker at a pier. How? Why? The cop was riding a police horse 100 yards from the explosion. But because it was a loud noise/mini explosion, the police had said the man attempted to startle the horse, in an attempt to throw the officer off its reigns! Like i said, every and anything to make their presence granted.

As for the residual amount of coke, everyone has some if they have money in their wallets,, as for the rest Jeff put his body on the line time and time again for the biz it it only common for someone with his disc problems to have pain meds. I believe in Jeff . My heart go out to his family who also have to deal with all the bs from the media.

I think it is all about CMPuke! He doesn't have an awful lot of fans and hates Jeff. My daughter thinks Punk planted the drugs!!!
Posted by: bugg911 | September 15, 2009 4:50 PM
Typical......Jeff gets arrested for drugs and everyone seems to criticize Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy wanted to be a wrestler from the start and Jeff wanted to follow his big brother. Jeff has missed several wwe events and been suspended due to drug use. Matt has fought injured and is truly commited. It's sad Jeff is so talented and Matt is considered mid card yet Matt gives his all and sometimes Jeff doesn't give a care. I know Jeff is attractive and artistic but someone has to be the adult and Matt does that on a daily basis. Jeff needs to learn about personal responsibility. In refrence to the prescriptions mentioned above I hope that a reasonable explanation is presented and i hope Jeff Hardy is a victim of overzealous law enforcement but that is for the courts to decide

I miss jeff a lot. i hope that he's innocent. jeff had did bad thing in the past but he didn't want to do that no more. jeff was my hero ever since i waz 4 when began watching the wwe. he waz my favorite then n h will be my favorite till the end(also throught thick n thin). so i wish jeff the best n my heart goes out to him. so jeff god bless u. i'll pray for you every day.

Wishing Jeff only the best and if he is in need of help he will get it.
We are praying for him. Me and my kids 5 and 8 still say "we miss Jeff Hardy" New to the whole WWE scene back in April from High School Musical (can you say culture shock) - Jeff emerged as "Mom's" favorite wrestler
and the kids followed suit.
We are really hoping for a comeback from him in the future, but most of all wish him the best!

I think CM Punk or Mr.Machman had something to do with the raid on Jeff's house. I love you JEFF.joyce

I don’t watch the WWE but as a teacher in Australia I have over heard my students talking about it all the time. And how much these WWE stars mean to young people….so in saying that I can’t quite get my head around how police or the government could think about arresting or jailing Jeff Hardy for theses charges. After reading about all the deaths and down falls of so many of your wwe stars i think Jeff should be put through a public rehab program so that that the world wide teenage supporters can see that such a world wide program can help someone that has a problem turn around there trouble life and return to a profile position. I can’t see how jailing him would do any good. You just need to take a look at how many people are off the streets just to watch him. I think Jeff should spend his time talking at your school and beating any drug addiction and returning to his sport…. The world has seen some many stars go down hill from stuff like this but not many used to help the people that look up to him… think about the amount of people he can reach by turning his life around in the public eye

I love jeff hardy and hope he is innocent, but you know what? If this is true it is a witch hunt. Given his past they are going to use him as an example. How many more stars could have our homes searched and have similar items found? Don't throw rocks when you live in glasshouses.
Beth, Matt, Dad Hardy, fans; stand by him and give your total love and support. If jeff is innocent alot of people will have alot of words to eat. I personally believe in jeff either way.
