Kurt Angle’s comments about his arrest
In case anyone missed it, Kurt Angle discussed his arrest Wednesday in an interview with the ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh. Angle, who broke down several times during the nearly 20-minute interview, said that he “didn’t do anything wrong” and he is confident that all the charges brought against him will be dropped. He also said that he plans to file a defamation of character lawsuit against his accuser, Trenesha Biggers (Rhaka Khan).
Angle claimed that Biggers filed the protection from abuse order against him last Saturday because “she wanted to get married” and he did not. He said that they had been dating for “about nine or 10 months,” but that he had just broken up with her “for about the 10th time” and has asked her to move out of his house “50 or 60 times.”
After Biggers filed the PFA, Angle said that he voluntarily left his residence. Angle claimed that – unbeknownst to him – Biggers followed him to a Starbucks, and then called police and said that he was stalking her and violating the PFA order.
Regarding the other charges against him, Angle said that he has a legal prescription for the human growth hormone that police found in his car and that he takes it to help combat his recurring neck injuries, and that he does have a valid driver’s license.
After watching the interview, I am more convinced than ever that TNA should have had Angle drop the world title Sunday at the Hard Justice pay-per-view and forced him to take some time off, both for his and the company’s sake.
Regardless of who is telling the truth in this “he said versus she said” scenario – and as I have stated previously, I believe in due process and innocent until proven guilty – I don’t think there’s any question that Angle, who said he isn’t allowed to go back to his house because of the PFA order, could use a break to try and get his life in order. And if he is truly as distraught as he appears in the interview, wrestling is the last thing that should be on his mind.

On the flip side, perhaps he needs wrestling right now to keep his mind off of all the personal issues that he's been going through?

Honestly, I don't know who to believe Kurt could be lying.

Kurt should be arrested for his pick of women, Karen Angle vs Rhaka Khan. Are you serious? I wouldn't touch Khan with a ____ft pole. Kurt go Taylor Wilde next time!

Just watched the interview and I totally agree with ur comments. Angle has way too much on his plate right now. Then again I guess since TNA already taped their shows up to the next ppv Angle figures that would give him enough time to get his life in order which I highly doubt. Im also assuming TNA doesnt plan on using Rhaka Khan anymore and just waiting for her contract to expire. Im rooting for Angle and hopes in the end he is found innocent.

I worry about Kurt Angle.
He may have a huge ego that works against him in some ways but he has done a lot for pro wrestling. I hope pro wrestling reciprocates and does him right.

I agree, TNA should have taken the title off of Kurt and take some time off. That would have been beneficial to both TNA and Kurt. It would have given Kurt a chance to straighten himself out and given TNA a chance to see what someone else can do being the champ. For the record I would have liked to see Matt Morgan be the champ for the first time or put the belt on AJ Stylesand let Sting kinda act asa guide for AJ. But what I do not understand is why was Kurt kicked out of his own home especially when Biggers doesn't even live there.
I am a firm believer in an innocent til proven guilty concept.

For me, the part that stands out is how upset Kurt seems that certain fans have brought this personal situation of his into the wrestling arena (carrying signs at the PPV, etc.). It seems to me that TNA, and particularly Angle and Jarrett, have made a common practice of bringing other real-life events into the camera's eye—and thereby sacrified some ability to complain when others follow their example.

Anyone else not getting audio on this video? I really want to hear the interview!

Just watched the video on YouTube.
I believe Kurt. Either he's telling the truth, or he should get an Academy Award. There's always two sides to every story, but I've seen this exact situation happen to a friend and it's just sad and ugly.
Also feel angry at the "fans" that chanted "You got arrested" - why hit someone when they're down? Especially a guy that's worked his A$$ off to entertain them for so many years, before you even know the whole story.

I agree with everything you said, and I respect the fact that unlike other "journalists" you haven't chosen a "side". Hopefully due process will prevail.

He is really on a downward slide. I hope that he can get his life together and apparent addictions. It's not about just wrestling. Angle appears to be sinking. Hope that TNA does the right thing and gives him extended time off.
