Dusty Rhodes to host Raw Monday

Raw is going to get "funky like a monkey" this Monday.

"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes will be the guest host for the show, wwe.com has announced.

With Rhodes "in charge," this should be a fun show. I have always found Rhodes entertaining going all the way back to my childhood when he and Superstar Billy Graham were the two most charismatic stars in the business.

It will be interesting to see how Dusty interacts with his son Cody. When "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase hosted the show a couple months ago, he ended up getting slapped hard in the face by Ted Jr. Even though Dusty's other son, Dustin (Goldust), is on ECW, I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a special appearance.

It would be cool if Dusty has a backstage segment with former nemesis Arn Anderson. As an inside joke, it also would be great if there was a "Dusty finish" somewhere on the show.

I wonder if we will see his bionoc elbow being smashed over someone's head.

I kinda would want to see Dusty and Arn have some sort of segment.

Like to see Dusty slap Cody this time. Turn the tables on Legacy a bit.

I don't see Dusty making Raw any better than it has been the past several weeks. I think Smackdown is the #1 show from a viewers standpoint. Even ECW has been a slightly better show.

I remember a while back Goldust confronted Cody and I believe they mentioned Dusty. So hopefully they'll all three make an appearance together.

Ric Flair talked about the "Dusty Finish" in his book.

To remember all this stuff both past and present, you must have an amazing memory or really great historical resources. It's really very impressive.

Hide the food.

Dusty finish = One ref gives the victory to one wrestler and the second ref gives the victory to other wreslter?

Kev, do you figure we'll see Cody attack (at least slap) Dusty, like we saw with DiBiase? I have a hunch we're going to see Cody and Goldust go at it in the ring. I'd love to see that, it would easily be the most interesting thing Cody has done in his short career.

I wonder if we will see the Yellow Dog vs. the Midnight Rider.

I was thinking today that maybe Dusty will take Cody's side against an attack by the DiBiase brothers. That unprovoked attack at Summerslam can't be a one-and-done thing, and what better way to kick off a new feud than to swerve everyone expecting Ted to turn face than by having Cody do it. as I recall Randy and Duth-ty have unfinished business of their own, no?
