Notes on Van Hammer, Edge, ECW

Beginning Wednesday I will be posting a series of video interviews with former WCW star Van Hammer that I conducted last week. His story is definitely one worth listening to, as he fell into the self-destructive lifestyle of so many pro wrestlers and actually lived to tell about it.

***
WWE.com reported that Edge did undergo surgery this morning to repair his torn Archilles tendon. Renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews performed the operation in Birmingham, Ala. There was no mention in the article of how long Edge would be out, but the preliminary estimation when the injury first occurred was that he wouldn't be back before January.

***
Just a reminder that ECW will not be on tonight. It will air on SyFy (formerly known as Sci-Fi) Thursday at 7 p.m. this week.

As a ( former ) fellow "Hebronite" , I await Mark's the interview with bated breath !

' bout time for another Steiner interview sometime , eh , Kev ?

I think its horrible that some people have to travel to Marley Station to get an autograph copy of Cornette's book when it would have been much easier to do it at the Green Room. If I wasn't a fan of his I wouldn't bother to make the extra trip. Any idea Kev why Cornette is not signing at Green Room.

RESPONSE FROM KE: Sorry, I don't.

Kev, Any chance of you getting an interview with Cornette and finding out why the hell TNA isn't using him anymore? What a waste of talent, that man is gold on the microphone!

RESPONSE FROM KE: Actually, I am doing an interview with Cornette this week.

Since this is sort of a catch-all post, may I request opinions as to which of the following three would be the best DVD to purchase: Best of Saturday Night's Main Event, Greatest Stars of the 90's or the one covering Macho Man Randy Savage's career?

I have the one on the best stars of the 80's and really enjoyed the profiles on the guys I grew up watching but was a little disappointed in the match selection. Therefore, I've been holding back on getting the one covering the 90's and would welcome input.

Thanks to you all for your help.

I have all three. Here's how I would rank them:

1.Savage
2. SNME
3. 90s

So if Edge comes back by the Royal Rumble, does that mean he will automatically win it b/c the past two winners have won after making their first big appearance from injury
