Non-spoiler preview of Smackdown, WWE Superstars

I won’t give away any specifics about Tuesday night’s Smackdown taping at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, but I will say that the world heavyweight title match between newly crowned champion Jeff Hardy and John Morrison tore down the house.

The other matches on the show, which airs Friday, are: Cryme Tyme vs. The Hart Dynasty to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE undisputed tag team title, Eve Torres and Melina vs. Michelle McCool and Layla, Rey Mysterio and Finlay vs. Dolph Ziggler and Mike Knox, and The Great Khali vs. Charlie Haas.

Thursday’s WWE Superstars will be headlined by a non-title match between WWE champion Randy Orton and Primo, which was taped Monday at Verizon Center in Washington. Also taped that night was a match between Morrison and Tyson Kidd. The other Superstars match, Yoshi Tatsu vs. William Regal, was taped Tuesday in Baltimore.

It still seems weird, but I'm finding myself looking forward to Smackdown and Superstars much more than I look forward to Raw these days. If not for Bourne and Kingston, I don't even think I'd be watching Raw right now.

No MARIA?

I'm glad I didn't attend.

WE WANT SPOILERS! AND BACKSTAGE STUFF.
DO YOU GET BACK STAGE THESE DAYS,KEV?

Here's what I can surmise from the list of matches (and it all leads to a Big Show face turn and Jericho enhancing the Hart stable). I like The Hart Dynasty to end up in a program with the team of Hardy & Morrison before they face Jericho & Show for the title (@ Summerslam, perhaps?). This should give them a nice rub before the PPV. Expect Jericho to turn on Show by abandoning him for his fellow Hart Alumns (Remember, there were hints of Edge turning face before he got injured. Inserting Show in to Edge's place makes a little more sense now, doesn't it?). Show is one of the rare few that is over regardless of his heel / face affiliation. Also, wouldn't Jericho look spiffy in the pink & black? Jericho's needed some fresh direction for some time and this could be the answer. Imagine The Hart Dynasty defending the tag belts with any of their members (a la demolition and (Gasp!), The Spirit Squad. Maybe even Natalya could defend on occasion :)

world title match between hardy and MORRISON? where's punk? i think i've lost something...

RESPONSE FROM KE: Just watch.

Kev....Is your column the most highly read column in the Baltimore Sun on a daily basis?????

Not kissing your ass....I just like Rassling

RESPONSE FROM KE: Without giving specific numbers ... on same days, yes it is. It is almost always in the top two or three. I don't say it enough, but I truly appreciate everyone reading this who makes that success possible.

Ben in Las Vegas, what about the Freebirds? Or the Triad from WCW? :)

No suprise a match between Jeff and Morrison is a show stealer

I've noticed,. that in the UK where they are airing the promotions to the tours coming to England; that Jeff Hardy has been added to the list of superstars along witt guys like Jericho ect. I'm pretty sure he hasn't always been promoted as participating, and since the tour is in November, I wonder if WWE is pulling a hoax with his contract situation. Didn't they do something along the same lines with Dreamer to build the aniticipation and tension for his match? And it wouldn't be the first time WWE have sent out false information on the internet about Jeff: unconcious in stairwell ect.

Maybe this is just hopeful thinking...but it does seem a bit suspicious.

Kev, I live in Australia and therefore as yet do not get superstars... was the match with Morrison and Kidd as brilliant as I thought it was.

Having already seen Smackdown over here if it was anything like the Tag Team match I would be marking for it something fierce. Seriously after watching that match I can only hope they are building towards a match at breaking point... Okay so I just want to see the Hart Dynasty at Breaking Point... I would prefer against DX (for obvious reasons) but I don't care against who really.

I am wondering Kevin what is the chance that Jeff Hardy leaves WWE universe due to a Kay Fab 3rd strike. It would give CM Punk so much material to use.
