Update on Batista’s status
Batista, who is scheduled to undergo surgery today to repair his torn biceps, will be out at least four months, wwe.com reported earlier today.
While Batista legitimately suffered the injury sometime last week, WWE – as expected – is attributing it to the attack by Legacy Monday night on Raw. Looking ahead, I suppose we’re in store for another Batista-returns-seeking-revenge on Orton story line after the Triple H-returns-seeking revenge on Orton story line ends.
WWE did not address what will happen with the WWE title now that the champion is out of action.

Here's an idea, cancel both world titles, they don't mean anything. Make the main event of Raw and Smackdown for the next four months some sort of HHH vs. Legacy attack. Make the main events of ppv HHH vs. Orton. Then when Batista comes back have HHH and Batista team up against them on ppv til someone gets injured. Have Ric Flair make a "suprise" old-man run in. Have Orton kick everyone in the head. Then the following week, Shane O can come out and single handedly defeat Legacy, WCW, TNA (through a "bankruptcy on a pole" match) and the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man. Sound good?

Thanks for the clarification on really occurred with Batista. After last night's show I got disgusted as it seems the first act every Monday night is for Orton and his thugs to put their boots to someone. Someone (not Super Shane) in the locker room needs to grow a set and come to the ring and put these jerks, known as Legacy, in their place once and for all.

So Batista is out for how many months? Comes back, shows why I cal him BORE-tista and now is out for four more months.
If he is so injury prone, why not Kennedy his a**?!?!?!?!
I am officially done with wrestling.

Hey Kevin, speaking of updates, found this one on Kane from wrestlinginc.com.
In case you haven't noticed, Kane has not appeared on television since the May 1st edition of Friday Night SmackDown. While he hasn't been used as of late, he's not sitting out with an injury. Creative simply doesn't have any ideas for him at the moment after moving him to SmackDown in the Draft two months ago. Kane is scheduled to go on a promotional tour on behalf of WWE in India this week, making a number of appearances in Mumbai on Thursday and Friday.
- It's funny because just yesterday a friend asked me where Kane had been, and for once, I really didn't have an answer to a wrestling-related question! How could you not have any ideas for Kane?

"Looking ahead, I suppose we’re in store for another Batista-returns-seeking-revenge on Orton story line...."
In a previous entry, you suggested that Batista got the title at Extreme Rules because the scenario above would be repetitive. That made sense, but on Raw, WWE revealed that there was NOT a method to their madness by having Legacy injure Batista. The result is a pointless, 24-hour title reign which devalues the championship. The creative team should be thankful that they don't get fired as easily as tier-two stars do.

hey kev
do you see a possible mini-tournment or a fatal 4 way type match for the wwe championship.

As is typical for the guys that Vince likes, Batista will get to come out next week and give a heartfelt speech about how he wishes he could have held the belt longer...
Then Legacy comes out to beat him up, Cripple H brings out the sledge and we're back to where we were 6 months ago.

Kevin , according to our resident experts , no injury to Batista is legit . If he gets a hangnail it due to steroid use . Without going into detail , lets just say I know aliitle more about steroids than just what I read , and get alittle perturbed by couch potato experts .

Max, no one is ever done with wrestling. No matter how much you want to be done, you never will be. We marks just can't stay away.
I stopped watching for a year in 2000.
I started watching it again a year later.
I stopped watching at the end of 2002.
I went back in 2005.
I thought after the Benoit murders and the talk of steroids' role in the murders, I would be done with wrestling.
I still watch it to this day.
If a double murder-suicide can't get me to stop watching it, then nothing can.
We're all a bunch of Ram Robinsons- we can't stay away.

I have to agree with Mark, that no one is ever really done with wrestling. I watched for years as a child and then stopped watching once I hit puberty and the old father/daughter bonding rituals lost their shine, watched a bit during the attitude era because I had a boyfriend who did and then got back into it when I met my fiance. In the years I didn't watch, I still knew who everyone was.

they should just release Batista already...because he's old, and lacks personality. of course, he's got triple h's backing so i dont see him getting a Kennedy any time soon

WWE character development and writing is just awful right now. These bland superhuman characters like Batista, Trips, Cena, Orton lack character depth - intensity should be a compliment to deeper character development not the main focus. I get it, these guys are intense WWE - thanks for wasting my Monday Nights.
Smackdown is 100% the only good wrestling show at the moment. I wish Umaga would have stuck around to help be a tweener monster who just wants to hurt people - the pops he was getting against faces were amazing simply because of the impact of his moves and his in ring psychology.
Why does WWE have nothing for Kane - have him come back and be used by Jericho to do his dirty work. Jericho could control him by telling him how the hippocrites have used him and relegated him to obscurity by making him dance and pander to them - he can bring the monster back and help him destroy the Undertaker and get his world title back....angle would be gold (and could lead to a Jericho/Kane (back as a reputable monster) fued after the whole thing blows up and the crowd gets back on Kane's side.
RESPONSE FROM KE: I wouldn't Call Orton a superman character the way he has been booked lately.

For those of you who are angered that Kennedy was fired because of his injuries and not Batista, you need to look at the reality of WWE.
Kennedy, while talented on the mic and the in the ring, did not have as much value as Batista does. Batista is more popular, has more star power, has a greater celebrity status, has a bigger fan base, and established himself as a main eventer. Kennedy could have gained all these things had he not been injured when he was, but the fact is he never had the chance to shine as bright as Batista. Everything just happened to him at the wrong time.
I am not a Batista fan and am happier when he's off TV (although injuries are not good) but let's face it: Batista will never be fired and probably won't get suspended for steriods either. He just means too much to WWE.
