Report: WWE says Randy Orton’s rage was staged
A WWE spokesperson told The U.K. Sun that Randy Orton’s tirade during an interview with a reporter on a Mexican TV show last week was a work.
I speculated here this morning that it may have been pre-arranged to get heat on Orton and create a buzz about WWE’s shows in Mexico, as well as give the TV show some publicity. And, yes, Orton appearing to give the “cut” signal at the end perhaps was a giveaway.
However, I didn’t dismiss the possibility that it was a shoot because of Orton’s past anger management and attitude issues. Because Orton’s reputation is not a secret, it made the incident more believable than if another heel such as Edge had been involved.
As far as Orton’s promo on the guy, it was tremendous. He should be playing the lead villain in WWE’s next movie project.

Comments
I just think a round of applause for Orton is deserved, he is extremely talented. Arrogant or not he's one of the best today.

Cue the rumours that WWE is covering up Randy's anger by saying it was a work.
Personally, I think it had to be a work but the one argument against this is Orton delivering the s-word. Isn't the company PG now?

That's why I'm thinking this thing may actually be a shoot - Orton's acting was TOO good. Maybe WWE is pulling out some PR tricks to make this look like something staged.
The cut signal at the end - that could have been Orton cutting the interview short. I think if he had staged this, he would have remained in character until the cameras were no longer on him.
Just my 2 cents.

WHAT! A WWE event staged! Stop the presses! Come on why is WWE even in the sports section? The entire thing is an athletic farce, if it was a real sport you could bet on it in Las Vegas. Skilled athletic performers, yes. A sport...no.

Doesn't that kind of go against the whole point of a worked shoot, to just come out and say it was fake?

You're absolutely right about Orton in a movie. I for one, cannot understand why WWE keeps giving the big budget roles to Cena.... he isn't even that good an actor in his movies. Also, can't understand why WWE doesn't produce movies with multiple WWE stars, with each playing lead heroes and villains within the movie.
Besides Orton, I'd love to see Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho or JBL in a WWE movie, those 3 have proven their movie star talent with their amazing deep storylines over the last year.

Well of course we new it was an act, Orton is not gonna bite the hand that feeds him and jeapordize his career!
RESPONSE FROM KE: You must not be familiar with Orton's past.

For all of the talent Orton has, I'd wonder if he could write an episode of Raw better than those doing it now so someone will actually want to see it.
