Internet buzzing about nude photos allegedly of WWE announcer
When I first saw the story last week that nude photos allegedly of WWE announcer Matt Striker had been posted on the Internet, I didn’t think it was worth writing about, mostly because I thought there was a good chance that it was a hoax. And it may be, but the story is getting picked up by more and more Web sites and people have asked me about it, so I figured it should be addressed.
The explicit photos show full frontal nudity, although the person’s face is not shown -- at least that’s what I have read. I have not seen the photos, nor do I plan on seeing them. Reportedly, Striker took the photos himself and shared them with friends, and they ended up being made public.
If it really is Striker, I guess it proves that the ECW announcer is hardcore to the bone. Hey, I had to get in at least one bad joke here.
In all seriousness, with WWE now having a PG rating, this incident could possibly be detrimental to Striker’s career. And that would be a real shame, because Striker has done a very good job since becoming the color commentator on ECW last year.

Kevin , I understand the purpose of a blog and I also understand your thoughts about it's possible repercussions to WWE . But this is one story (rumor) that I think you could have just left alone . You've got too much class and apparently Striker has none .

So, how many people clicked on this story praying for some Lilian Garcia?

Why couldn't it have been Lillian?!?!?!

Striker having been previously a school teacher and clearly a smart guy I do think it's a hoax. I was the first to check the photographs out and like you say, the heads have indeed been cropped; it seemed to me like a clever juxtaposition of a picture of Striker's and someone else's... *whistle*
But yeah. I don't think WWE is going to jump the gun on this one.

Jason, it could've been worse...imagine it was Howard Finkel! LOL

I'm just glad it wasn't Hall of Famer The Fink. And NUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE ... oh, nevermind.

Striker has seemed completely devoid of enthusiasm the last few weeks on ECW.

David Henry: ...and dreading Jim Ross?

Why couldn't it have been Howard Finkle?!?!?!

Why is it OK for WWE Diva's to get naked, but if it is a male wrestler people are thinking he will be fired? Thats a double standard...I have seen Mickie James all over the internet fully nude...why was she never repremanded??
RESPONSE FROM KE: The point is that WWE has gone in a more family friendly direction to attract certain sponsors. That's why the divas are no longer appearing in Playboy. The Striker story could potentially scare off a sponsor.

I was hoping it was Gorilla Monsoon!

It would be stupid for WWE to fire Striker over this. Almost all of the divas have nude photos floating around the net, and they are much more prominent as stars on tv than an announcer like Striker. If anything does happen to him I call sexism.
RESPONSE FROM KE: See earlier response.

I hope nobody was looking for pics of Jim Ross!

Hey, Matt Striker's pretty hot! I wouldn't mind seeing him nude lol.
I won't be looking these alleged photos up since I'm not into Internet porn...but he is hot!

His job should be safe even jerry lawler got a second chance after his scandel back in 1994 on a much more serious allegation

I dont see how the WWE will have repercussions since it is only a WWE employee who took the pictures of himself and gave them to his friends. If anyone is to blame it should be Matt Striker. I do agree that Matt has become a good anouncer but still the WWE is trying to be a rated PG type of programming. Now They have an employee who is taking R or x- rated type material and it is leaking out to the internet. I do not know if there will be any kind of punishment coming to Matt. I am sure they have some sort of personal conduct code that everyone must follow. I am sure Kevin is more qualified than I am to answer that.
Why did someone have to bring up a Diva's name To me that is very perverted since this blog has nothing to do with her. So get your head out of your butt and use some common sense. In other words grow up.
Kevin was it really neccessary to post those comments about Lillian Garcia?

Does anyone know where I can find the pictures? I've been looking....

Whilst it's incredibly stupid to do what Striker did (even moreso considering he has a 'name'), how is it really different from Mickie James and Candice Michelle doing naked photoshoots and fetish films in their past?
Vince would have known about their history before signing them and obviously didn't think it was an issue, so i don't see how this would cause Striker any real harm outside the usual 'window dressing' statement that WWE will eventually release if the story continues to grow legs.

There are naked pictures of Mickie James? Where and Kevin do you know about them? I have seen "pictures" and "movies" that claim to be Mickie but aren't
RESPONSE FROM KE: They are definitely out there, but I think The Sun would frown upon me linking to them.

I guess I must be missing something. If there are no faces shown, how would we know it was Striker?
Posted by: Bill | June 3, 2009 11:35 PM
So Kev is it safe to assume that you have the links saved as favorites!
