Live WrestleMania XXV blog: The Colons vs. John Morrison and The Miz
This is a lumberjack match to unify the tag team titles.
We must be in store for some long matches, because this bout was moved from the main show to the dark match. I feel bad for these guys losing their well-deserved spot on the pay-per-view.
Some nice fast-paced action early. Carlito has his working shoes on tonight. Morrison goes for a suplex, but Primo gets behind him and hits a back-stabber out of nowhere for the win in about nine minutes.
Not the result I expected. I'm also surprised that the Bella Twins did not get involved in the match.

What? The Colons won?! Are you kidding me? They're so boring and uninteresting to watch, where-as The Miz and Morrison are the best tag team in a long time! GRRR RAGE

Apparently the tag titles match was less important than Kid Rock. Bad move by Vince & Co. there...
If there's any justice in WWE, we'll get the tag match on SD later this week.

WWE doesn't unify titles every month, so some other match should have beem shuffled down to this warm-up position.

I see why they cut this match. The event last until 11 o'clock. It usually ends around 10:45. The final three matches took up the last two hours.

"Well-deserved"? Look, I agree that all four guys have been working hard, both in the ring and at their promos, and I'd love to see more talent featured at WrestleMania. But they've been wrestling this exact match at least once a week on cable television for the past two months. For that reason alone, this match didn't belong on the card.
...but I chuckled at Snyder's comment above. I'll concede that the umpteenth version of Match_XY will almost always be better than watching Kid Rock. Fortunately, I was an hour behind, so I just hit fast-forward.

I thought Kid Rock was great, and I am glad this match got cut because we have seen this match 5 or 6 times in the last few weeks.

Kevin, since we didn't see the match, could you tell us who were the lumberjacks and how they were involved?

RESPONSE FROM KE: I don't remember all the lumberjacks. I know Kozlov, R-Truth, Helms, Jimmy Wang Yang, Mike Knox were some of the guys there.
