Live WrestleMania XXV blog: Edge vs. John Cena vs. The Big Show
These guys had the unenviable task of following Undertaker-Michaels, but they worked hard and the crowd got more and more into it as the match went on.
Cena, who came out with an army of his followers, regained the world heavyweight title after hitting the Attitude Adjuster on Big Show and Edge in succession, making the winning pin on Show after about 15 minutes of action. Before delivering the moves, he had both Big Show and Edge on his shoulders at the same time.
After the match, the 2009 Hall of Fame class was recognized. Steve Austin, dressed in his black suit, appeared onstage with the other inductees and then headed to the back. Moments later, Austin's music hit and he drove down the aisle in an ATV. Now wearing his Austin 3:16 t-shirt, Austin had a beer-drinking celebration in the ring before driving back up the ramp and off into the sunset.

The announcers made it sound like this was the final time SCSA will ever make any sort of WWE appearance.

Although I just criticized Shawn Michaels on another thread, I want to use him to analogically compliment Edge. Each of these two has developed a tendency to be around matches that turn out to be livelier and more fun than anyone anticipated. TLC, first ever MITB, UT, and now we can add tonight's strong match to the list. Whether Michaels gets credit for losing many entertaining matches is open for debate, but Michaels gets credit, then so too should Edge

Poor Edge. This year he had to follow Taker/Michaels, last year he had to follow everything.
Nothing special about this match. And to make matters worse, surprise, Cena wins. I hope HHH is given the real WWE Title since Cena has the World Title.
Stone Cold was definently one of the highlights this weekend. I can't wait until the DVD comes out so I can see his entire speech. And it was nice to see him at 'Mania one last time. He really seemed to appreciate this entire experience.

Austin doesn't need to get back in the ring, it would only tarnish his legend. I was never a fan, but that doesn't mean I don't respect him.
Thoroughly deserved entry to the Hall of Fame, and I hope he doesn't feel pressured into returning.

i was really hoping that edge would retain the title after losing it last year at mania. then again i guess u cant have cena losing at wrestlemania two years in a row. looking forward to go to raw 2nite to see who he begins a feud with.

I honestly can't understand how people can hate John Cena.
That bit when he had BOTH Edge and Big Show on his back was too awesome.
Why don't people like him? He's perfect to me.

T asked why don't people like Cena. It's because his in-ring ability is very limited. He's mediocre at best. That's simply unacceptable for a world champion. In addition, he's complacent with being a mediocre athlete. His improvement rate is extremely slow, as if he has better things to do. He's also delusional to think that he's actually the best. According to me, the best is the person who has superior in-ring ability (first and foremost); who's exceptional on mic; and who has amazing charisma. All three characteristics are necessary for me to call someone great, let alone the best. Cena meets my criteria for charisma, but he's unoriginal (his entrance was a direct copy of Eminem's entrance at the VMAs); he's uninspiring and unfunny on the mic (I don't know if he's trying to emulate The Rock, but it not's working); and his in-ring work is unacceptable. All that said, I do not dislike Cena. He seems...nice. I simply think it's sad that the top guy cannot wrestle. Entertainment or not, this is still an athletic line of work, and yes, Cena is incredibly strong, but so is Mark Henry. I don't think I need to expound on that.
