Hulk Hogan: I could kill 'like O.J.'
Hulk Hogan has stuck his foot in his mouth again with some reprehensible comments, only this time he made them on the record rather than in a taped conversation that he thought was private.
Speaking to Rolling Stone about his messy divorce, Hogan said: “I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like O.J., cutting everybody's throat. ... I totally understand O.J. I get it.”
I’m sure that he was being facetious, but that really isn’t the point. Rationalizing murder, even if not meaning it literally, is beyond idiotic and insensitive, especially to the families of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman. Save those remarks for conversations with your drinking buddies.
It’s not very smart either to say you can understand how someone could kill their wife while your divorce proceedings are still ongoing. To make it even worse, a wrestler – Chris Benoit – actually did murder his wife and son less than two years ago.
As a Hulk Hogan fan before it was trendy (he instantly became my favorite wrestler when he debuted as a heel in the WWF in 1979) and someone who has had positive experiences whenever I interacted with him, it saddens me to see what a complete disgrace he has become.
Last year, taped conversations between Hogan and his son, Nick, while the latter was serving time for felony reckless driving were made public, revealing Hogan speaking negatively about the young man who was critically injured. He also talked about helping his son broker a deal for a reality show that would chronicle Nick trying to get his life in order after serving his sentence.
NOTE: I will post my thoughts on the WWE supplemental draft and Tuesday night's episode of ECW later today.

Comments
Whew. I cut Hogan some slack for that taped conversation (although I thought that Nick, himself, should have had his hide tacked to the wall), but this is not something that I can defend at all.

"What you gonna do when divorce runs wild on you?" its shame whats been going on with the hulkster but with regards to nick's case, the victim hurt was a ten years older and a u.s marine who had just returned from iraq. Why was he riding shotgun with some young kid speeding through florida?

Got you beat! I was a fan when he was Terry "The Hulk" Boulder facing Harley Race for the NWA title in Alabama.
It's a pity to see his life meltdown so completely now that his wrestling career is over. Just goes to show that fame and fortune don't guarantee happiness. I wish him and his family the best as they all try to put their lives back together somehow.

GoHulk!!!!! It's about time that men don't need to hide what they feel. How many men out there have had to go through the same deal, support a women for years, love her, be there for her, and then have her stab you in the back and kill you in court. Yes, when it happens we feel like killing the cheating, lying, evil women that we had messed up and married. The true test is what we do with that feeling, do we go out and do it? Do we hold it in letting it fester till we do something crazy? Or..... Is it just OK to tell the world "hey this is how I feel".

My how the mighty have fallen. Hulk Hogan was my all time favorite wrestler for years. In fact, I sat next to him on an airplane from Tampa to D.C. the day before he wrestled HBK at Summerslam 05 and he was as cool and as gracious as you can possibly ask for. He discussed with me fear of injury as any slight movement could cause a problem with his knee or hip, and even told me he wasn't excited about the match due to said fears until sitting next to a real fan on the flight.
Sadly it's become clear to me since that Hogan has been "playing the game" for years. Like everyone else I was disappointed by Hogan's jailhouse commentary to his son and not even sympathetic to the fact that he thought the conversations would be private... saying that "for whatever reason g-d laid some serious s***..." on Graziano was intolerable. But we all make mistakes and I anxiously watched Hogan's appearance on Larry King waiting for him to apologize. All he had to say was "Larry, I chose my words poorly and I'm sorry for that" and I'd be able to forgive (though not forget). But we (and more importantly the Graziano's) couldn't even get that and now with his latest commentary, it's clear how out of the loop he really is. There are many ways to illustrate that you don't appreciate a 19 year old b****** your ex-wife and driving your cars. It's impressive that he managed to take that situation and make himself look like a bad guy as well, instead of a victim. Hogan would be best served to just keep his mouth shut for a long time and stop doing more damage.

He hardly got stabbed in the back, he cheated on his wife, and she deserves every penny!
Sad to see how such a successful career inside the ropes is contrasted by the againg man stuggling to come to terms with life outside of it.

You know.... I totally understand where the Hulkster is coming from. If it weren't for the fame of Hulk Hogan, then his wife would be just another woman in the world. His Fame & money took care of his whole family, then when it's over... She leaves him and wants half? WTF...I mean what did she do to help Hulk Hogan's image? Nothing! She didn't get in the ring. She didn't sell any merchandise. She has no fans. Hulkamania would have been just as strong with or without her. All the money, all the fame, their TV show "Hogan knows best", all because of Terry Hulk Hogan. In fact I don't even know her name. We all know Hulk, Brooke & Nick, but who's the wife? & what does she do? why should she get half when SHE wants to leave him? So she had a couple kids, locked him down, & now that the money doesn't pour in faster than water on the Titanic, she splits & wants half. It's so easy to see. Both kids are grown up & out of the house. Doing their own thing. Now she wants half the stuff & money that HE earned, so she can go out & get some more work done on her face and body. Then live life high on her horse with the money HE earned. The guy has put himself through the physical, mental, and emotional ringer. His body is beaten down. He was out there getting his butt kicked, and having countless surgeries, all the while his wife was getting boob jobs and back rubs. I'm not saying that it's right, or OK to talk about killing anyone. All I'm saying is I can understand how he feels about the situation. GO HULK!!!

I understand the Hulkster's emotion to this mess....most of us would have similar thoughts in the situation. But to say it publicly is beyond stupid. I really do hope the Hogans stop embarrassing themselves and do something productive with their lives. Somehow, I doubt it though.

Kevin , I grew up in the Hogan era and though never a big fan , I had to respect the man for what he meant to pro wrestling .
Now Hogan has become a sideshow in the national media . His name appears in the gossip columns almost as much as Paris Hilton's . ( you read that stuff dont you kev ? )
It seems as if its a contrived effort to continue getting attention now that he's no longer in the ring .
Unfortunately , wrestling should now try to distance itself from him due to all of the negative press . Maybe this version of Hogan will eventually fall off the radar and we can all go back to taking our vitamins and saying our prayers.

The crux of the issue is that Hulk is struggling for relevance.

I'm not gonna defend the comments- because he should know better. BUt whoever is calling him out for cheating and saying it's his fault- I don't think so.
He may have swayed- but his wife is a disgrace. First off- it's VERY easy for any women to ask for a divorce after their spouse has had an affair when the result will you being rich and free. She is classless- dating her DAUGHTERS FRIEND. That is the kind of stuff that tears a man to peices- hence the comments.
Hulk makes a mistake in a world full of temptation for him- a world his WIFE KNEW about- not to excuse it- but she knew. And then she takes him for all he's worth while disgracing his name by her actions.
I get it. She's no good. He should have been more careful where he expressed himself for sure- but I get it.

Jeremy, are you aware that it was Brooke's friend that Hulk cheated on his wife with? How is it that he is above judgement?
'The kind of stuff that tears a man to pieces'..... he did it first with his DAUGHTER'S FRIEND. So how do you think his wife felt?
Obviously it wasn't a strong marriage, but some people need to take off the yellow and red tinted spectacles and look at the situation as a human being, not a Hulkamaniac.
I agree with the post that said that Hogan is struggling for relevance.

Somebody tell Josh's girlfriend/wife to watch out. Anybody who rationalized killing their spouse needs help ASAP.
Would the Hulkster still think that if OJ was found guilty and is serving life? Doubtful.

The Hulk is back and he is gonna wreak havoc on everyone including his family! WHAT YA GONNA DO?

I understand where Hulk is coming from, his wife did not body slam Andre the Giant (R.I.P), she didn't give anybody the big leg drop, or rip off any tank top shirts. She didn't create hulkamania, what entitles her to half his fortune, the fortune that he shed blood, sweat and tears for. The last time I checked two wrongs don't make a right. Instead of being immature like a second grader saying "i'll get you back" she should have addressed his extra marital affair like adults and worked it out, and if it were beyond repair then you move on, but it doesn't make her look any different from him since she's doing the exact same thing, and bleeding his bank account dry in the process. I thought spending money that's not yours is considered stealing.
He didn't say he was going to go OJ on her. He just said he get it, he's hurt.

Kevin, it's good you ranked Hogan above Benoit on your Wrestlemania stars huh? :)

I want to know what does OJ have to do with him and his wife? How do he know OJ kill his wife? Why is OJ name always come up when someone is having problems? Leave OJ alone. He is doing time for those killing everyone should be happy. Hulk this is your problem not OJ.
