Happy 60th birthday, Ric Flair

It’s days like this that really make me feel old. I remember when Ric Flair was a cocky, young heel stirring things up in the Mid-Atlantic area. Today, “The Nature Boy” is celebrating his 60th birthday.

And to think he didn’t put a period – actually it was more like an exclamation point – on his fabulous in-ring career until a little less than a year ago. Even though he had lost a step or two by the time he entered the ring for the final time (I hope), against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXIV last March, the 16-time world champion still could style and profile.

As he often said during his legendary promos, “Space Mountain may be the oldest ride in the park, but it still has the longest line.”

Happy birthday, Naitch. If we know Flair the way we think we do, he will be celebrating all night long, most likely with his sequined robe on and his pants off. Woooo!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday Nature Boy!

Happy Birthday, Naitch!!!

What's causing all this????? Whooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forever Flair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm old enough to remember when Space Mountain (the Disney version) was relevant .

I bumped into Nature Boy about 17 years ago in the line at Sabatino's when his entourage came through for dinner.

That was cool! Woooo!

It's amazing to think he went so long at such a high rate of athleticism. It boggles my mind that he can still walk.

Happy Birthday, Naitch! Go easy on those ladies ... I doubt they can keep up with you.

Whether you like it or you don't like it,learn to love it 'cause it's STILL the best thing goin' today! WOOOOOO!!!!

My college friends and I saw Rick Flair waiting for a limo outside the Richmond, Va., airport about 20 years ago. My buddy called out to him and he gave an instant "Wooooo!" as he stepped toward his ride. We giggled like giddy school kids.

"To be 'The Man,' you gotta beat the man!"

My parents lived near Charlotte from the mid-60's until 1978. My dad played music in bars and clubs all across Charlotte. I remember him telling me that Flair was a bouncer at one of the clubs that he'd play. I imagine this was in the mid '70s when he was just starting out with the NWA.

" To the MAN ... YOU got to BEAT the MAN " you will always be the MAN ... Happy 60th Birthday!!!

WOOOOOO!!!

Diamonds are forever, and so is Ric Flair! WooOOO!

Happy Birthday to WHOOO!

I met "The Nature Boy" at an IWC show in Pittsburgh on Jan.24th and it will always be one of the highlights of my life. It's not often you get to shake hands and get your picture taken with one of your all time favorites.Thank You Ric!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
