Sarah Palin a ‘Beautiful’ person?

Professional wrestling and politics are being linked together yet again.

We’ve already seen Jesse “The Body” Ventura elected as the governor of Minnesota a decade ago, and last April, presidential candidates Barack Obama, John McCain and Hillary Clinton cut wrestling promos on Raw.

Now, Alaska governor and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has been invited by TNA to become an honorary member of The Beautiful People.

TNA has scheduled a Sarah Palin ceremony for Dec. 7 at its Final Resolution pay-per-view, according to a news release issued by the company today. TNA president Dixie Carter has offered to fly Palin and her husband to Orlando, Fla., for the event, and the company also has agreed to donate $50,000 to her favorite charity.

TNA will make the formal invitation to Palin on Impact Thursday.

Sure, this is a blatant publicity stunt, but so what? TNA desperately needs to get its name out into the mainstream, and using Palin for that purpose is certainly better for the company’s image than when it did business with NFL miscreant Adam “Pacman” Jones last year.

It seems absurd that Palin would even consider the offer to join Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and Cute Kip in The Beautiful People, but you never know. Who would have believed that Raw could land the presidential candidates?

If Palin declines, perhaps Tina Fey isn't busy on Dec. 7.

The rumor I heard was that "Kute Kevin" (Eck) was replacing Cute Kip .

It is sad that TNA Wrestling can afford to spend 50K on Palin, but could not afford to keep Gail Kim on their roster and with their promotion as one of their top knockouts.

Very, very sad.

A Governor Palin appearance on TNA/WWE probably would have little impact one way or the other given the candidates prior appearance on RAW, SNL, Comedy Central and nobody seemed to care.

However it would be a mistake for her to be associated with the Beautiful People given the characters they portray: vapid & shallow women who use their looks to get ahead. The very image that should be contrary to everything a woman politician should stand for.

That would be cool.

I'm just saying......

Keep this crap out of my wrestling !!Does TNA really think this is gonna help their bottom line? Two words Pacman Jones! I'm sure it will get some media attention but at the end of the day so what, so did Pacman, and I didn't see a spike in ratings after that mess. All this is gonna do is take up valuable air time and the boys backstage are gonna her something to the tune of "Palin went long so you guys only have 3 minutes for your match now."All the while die hard fans like me will be in the john, or in the beer line or chanting "BORING!"
I'm only intrested if she goes out there and takes a few bumps.Maybe a Black Hole Slam or a Canadian Destroyer or oh!oh! 3-D could put her thru a flaming glass table!!
Now that will get people talking about TNA!!

TNA ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"It is sad that TNA Wrestling can afford to spend 50K on Palin, but could not afford to keep Gail Kim on their roster...."

Yes. It didn't work for WCW when they paid big bucks to Master P or whatever his name was while Chris Jericho and others jumped ship to WWE and became huge stars.

Hooty-hoo, indeed.

WWE Should get that Saturday night Live look alike woman (Tina something??) and make fun of the whole angle.

I think Sarah Palin should say "Theanks, but no theanks, I betcha[winks]" to the Bridge to Nowhere that is TNA.

awesome desicion i hope she accepts

Sean , I'm a TNA supporter but I gotta admit your comment made me laugh !
