Is the Jeff Hardy news fact or fiction?

I got home a little while ago after watching the Ravens rout the Philadelphia Eagles at M&T Bank Stadium and just read the report on wwe.com regarding Jeff Hardy's status for tonight's Survivor Series pay-per-view.

For those who might have missed it, Hardy was found in the stairwell of his Boston hotel at approximately 3 a.m. and rushed to a local emergency room, according to the Web site. He was listed as questionable for tonight's show, where he is scheduled to face WWE champion Triple H and Vladimir Kozlov in a triple threat match.

It's difficult sometimes to know what is and isn't a work on wwe.com, as the Web site often blurs the line between "legitimate news" and "story line news." I strongly suspect this is an angle playing off some of Hardy's well-publicized real life incidents.

Strengthening the case for this being an angle is the fact that wrestling Web sites are reporting that Edge is in Boston for the show. I'm guessing that Edge will interfere in Hardy's match tonight (presumably costing him the title) and that it will be revealed that Edge attacked Hardy at his hotel, thus setting up a program between the two.

I have read reports that agree with your idea that Edge will be tied into this whole angle. I have to question the taste of using this kind of angle with a guy like Jeff Hardy, although I suppose they set the precedent of using Hardy's personal issues as fodder for wrestling angles.
I also question the wisdom of making it seem that it's "questionable" whether Hardy is going to compete tonight, as the uncertainty may make some decide not to shell out the $50 to watch this PPV; I suppose the flip side is that this intrigue might suck some people into buying the PPV to see what's going on.

Apparently it is a work and Jeff will sell his injuries in the match and supposedly it will make a difference in who wins and loses tonight. It was also reported that Jeff and Edge were seen talking at the catering table. Not sure if that was a work to and maybe that they are working together.

I really think that Jeff deserves the WWE title, but I LOVE the story line you came up with. (If it is a storyline at all...) I am hoping it is just part of a story.

Yep, it was Edge, and he's took Hardy's place in the triple threat match and wins the title

That wasn't obvious at all (!)

Personally, I am growing weary of "angles". Scripted? Ok, but at least give it the appearance of genuine (note I did not say REAL) competitition. A pseudo managerial type bringing in a ringer at the last minute and the decision stands???
I have followed pro wrestling for nearly 40yrs. Maybe burn out has (thankfully)finally occured!!!

I absolutely agree. I know how Jeff is and for some reason even if it isnt just storyline news i still think that edge aka adam may have had something to do with it

I had not heard beforehand anything about Edge being in Boston, so needless to say I'm really upset Triple H lost that belt to Edge of all people. But then we all know .that Edge cannot win titles he can only steal them. He could not have beaten Triple H or Koslov if they had been fresh. He had to wait until they'd both fought for awhile

i like where it is all going

but i really hope this isnt real; i just dont know what to belive, cause something like that is quite serious to just "fake" into a storyline? without nothing being said at all, i hope hes not back on the drugs again :/ x

From what I heard the angle was an old one. Drugs. Too bad if that was the case.

I think that this is something more serious than what is being let on.This could be an actual real life incident, Or maybe I'm just a sucker for entertainment.

I was disappointed with the Jeff Hardy story last night. I hope he is healthy and well, but if they made up this whole story it wasn't right. Doesn't everybody remember what happened when they thought that Vince was supposedly hurt and then they had to scrap that story to tell us of the tragic news of Chris Benoit?
When people spend their hard earned money of a PPV don't sell them short with a lie, especially one like this.

it is all crap it is fake and jeff is not really heard

i hope jeff isnt seriously hurt.. but i didnt know that edge was in town so i was very upset when vickie made it seem that jeff would compete only to have edge come out and steal the title! man jeff had to battle to get to where he was.. and to all those fans that only bought the tickets and the ppv (including me) i feel sorry for them because they and myself got ripped off! jeff would be an awesome champ! and im glad he isnt back on drugs, everytime people doubt him he comes back stronger.. he will b the new champ.. 1 day.

I've been a wrestling fan since I could remember and seeing how it has changed from then to now just blows my mind. I'm a Jeff Hardy fan and I strongly disagree about Jeff Hardy so called being injured just to be part of a story line. Now we all know hes had issues in the past about his drug use but true fans now are being sucked out of their money because Jeff is always just an ince away from winning the title. And now.... The whole issue at the PPV this last sunday.... I'm really not sure what to think anymore. I love Wrestling but i'm stating to lose interest in it, only because they put stupid storling together and make everyone think its real.... and then we all find out the truth... I'm very dissapointed that Edge once again gets the title, Its so stupid how he keeps winning without even wrestling and then goes on to think hes all good and better than anyone, it makes me sick. The rest of you's who actually buy this and think everything is real..... your just burning a hole in your wallets.

matt hardy it so jealouls of jeff he is such a coward and he is a hipacrit and is unkind
