Video: Jake Roberts says Vince McMahon saved his life
Here is a video excerpt from an interview I conducted with former WWE star Jake “The Snake” Roberts last week at the Eastern Wrestling Alliance show in Parkville. In the clip, Roberts talks about taking Vince McMahon up on the offer he made last fall to pay for the drug rehab of any past or present WWE performer.
Because of poor sound quality, most of the video was unusable. I have transcribed the rest of the interview and will post it later in a Q&A format.

Excellent, Jake The Snake Roberts could be one of the most interesting entities in professional wrestling (if not the most).
Although, transcribing the interview is quite the chore based on the sound of the video, so best luck to you on that endeavor.
So here's a big thanks in advance. We certainly appreciate it!

That's some heavy stuff... it's good to see that Mr. Roberts is in better shape than he's been in the past, and hopefully others in similar situations will follow in his footsteps to become a better person.

While it's absolutely great to see Jake getting his life in order , I don't think this was his first attempt at rehab . For him to say he had alot of problems ie: divorce , "family" problems , etc . doesn't really fly for me . Many of us have had those same problems in life and not chosen the same path as he . I'm not trying to come down on him as I indeed wish him luck .
By the way , as someone who has a great distain for McMahon , I do commend him for reaching out to several wrestlers past and present in helping them deal with their addictions .
