« Top 20 WrestleMania moments: No. 3 | Main | Inside the Impact Zone »

Greetings from the center of the wrestling universe

I landed a couple hours ago in Orlando, Fla., for what promises to be a huge weekend of wrestling.

In less than an hour I’ll be heading to Universal Studios for the TNA Impact tapings. Tomorrow, I’ll be spending some time at WWE Fanaxcess before attending what should be a very special WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony tomorrow night.

Of course, all of that leads to Sunday and WrestleMania XXIV at the Citrus Bowl. I am planning on blogging after all of these events.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to watch last night’s TNA Impact, so there will be no post about the show this week.

What , no post re: 3/27 TNA Impact .Well we know how that would have read anyway . There Kevin goes again placing WWE over TNA . As far as heading out to taping, c'mon Kev , you'll be headin' to "Bob Marley's Pub" there in Orlando .
Wrestlewhat ? at the where ?

Even though you missed the Impact show, did you hear about one of the Highlanders appearing in the crowd? That's been the big story since last night on the sites. Not a brilliant move.

Kev , don't know about you , but for me being able to attend the Hall Of Fame induction would be a thrill of a lifetime . Far outweighing attending Wrestlemania . Have a great time !

Hi Kevin -- I'm so jealous! I'm a reporter too but I never get such awesome assignments. I'll have to live vicariously through you this weekend.

Enjoy!

Have fun!

when is vikie going to get fired on smackdown, so the show can get good again, her at the wheel chair and edge is getting so old. was good with teddy at the helm now its just the same old thing every week

Kev, I dug out a program from the 'WWF' HOF Induction Ceremony dated June 9, 1994 and held at the Omni Hotel in Baltimore. I believe this was held that year in conjunction with the King of the Ring Tournament. The master of ceremonies was Regis Philbin. The McMahon family was onstage at the head table. Obviously this was before Linda, Shane, or Stephanie were on television. The inductees were Classy Freddie Blassie, Gorilla Monsoon, Chief Jay Strongbow, James Dudley, Arnie Skaaland, Buddy Rogers, and Bobo Brazil. The autographs on the program I can read are Don Muraco, Ivan Koloff, Luscious Johnny Valiant, Fabulous Moolah, Alundra Blayze, and I think Killer Kowalski. George Steele's autograph matches his wrestling persona. I recall Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, 1-2-3 Kid, Howard Finkel, and Lord Alfred Hayes being there as well. I wish I could decipher these other signatures. Oh, well, it's a fond memory of another era.
