Bobby Lashley’s status

While WWE has yet to make an official announcement regarding Bobby Lashley, and his bio still is listed on wwe.com, the former ECW champion is indeed working on getting his release from the company, according to wrestlingnewsdesk.com.

Citing sources within WWE, the Web site reported yesterday that Lashley asked WWE executive vice president of talent relations John Laurinaitis for his release because he was upset over his WrestleMania payoff and his issues with several producers, most notably Michael Hayes.

The reason WWE hasn’t commented on it is because the terms of the release haven’t been finalized, according to wrestlingobserver.com.

If Lashley is leaving WWE, I really don’t think it’s that big of a blow. He wasn’t getting over despite a mega-push, and his freakishly massive physique is not a positive attribute in the current climate.

He most likely won’t be able to wrestle for TNA because he had a long-term contract in WWE and there would be a non-compete clause. It’s uncertain whether that would prevent him from pursuing a career in MMA.

WWE dropped the ball with Lashley. He should have been the monster heel bodyguard for a talker like Edge. Think Big Bubba Rogers with Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express. With that squeaky voice, he was never going to get over as babyface.

whatever happend to the big show?

RESPONSE FROM KEVIN ECK: HE reportedly was backstage at Raw Monday. He will be back on TV in the near future.

I think that the WWE didn't use Bobby Lashley like they should have...He could have been as huge a star as Triple H and Ric Flair if the WWE had the guts to use him that way...Bobby will be missed by me as I am a big fan of his.

Dracenia

I honestly thought he was going to be a Brock Lesnar heel type character when he first came out, but I guess not eh.

Sadly this is how WWE works, get behind someone and then move on after 5 minutes, did get a deserved rise on Smackdown and ECW but his kiss of death was the draft to Raw when against the companies "star" Cena. Will miss him.

I wish WWE would do Lashley right and give him the respect he deserves. If that's too hard to do, please let him be unleashed in TNA where I'm sure they will. If Book, Angle, Dudleys, etc. can, so can Lashley.

this is so stupid y get rid of a man who is the dare i say future of the entertainment buisness he is better than half the guys on the roster just cause he dont have the marketing like a hhh or hbk or mic skills like the rock or jericho dont mean he cant be the future of any company one word goldberg he hardly talked he only said 2 words half the time and carried wcw for a long time you just made the biggest mistak of your lives somoen out there will get him and when they do i hope he shoves it in your face

Forget Bobby Lashley, what is going on with the Marcus Cor Von situation? Do you know anything?

RESPONSE FROM KEVIN ECK: The word was that he left wrestling to take care of a family situation and there is not telling when or if he will be back.
