Towson gets verbal from Barrington Alston

Towson University received a verbal commitment for 2012 from 6-8 forward Barrington Alston, beating out Richmond, George Mason, Xavier, Dayton and Delaware.

Alston is an athletic power forward at Christchurch (Va.) School, which went undefeated in the Virginia Prep League this season. He is from Wilmington, Del., and played for Team Takeover in AAU basketball.
