« Army-Navy pre-game pageantry | Main | Seriously? You're going deep again, sailor? »

Fighting soldiers from the sky . . .

There's only one way you want the Army-Navy pre-game parachute jumps to end: uneventfully.

This year, all 10 or so Navy and Army parachutists landed safely -- and softly -- on the turf of Lincoln Financial Field.

This was in stark contrasts to at least two of the landings last year, where one chutist (I forget which service academy he represented) seemed to stick like a lawn-dart during his hard landing. Another was dragged 30 yards by his chute and threatened to wipe out half the people on the sidelines.

Let's hope the traditional pre-game flyover goes equally smoothly.
